Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

1. Technical Leadership:

· Define team goals with performance metrics and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of productivity and engagement.

· Manage resource allocation and workload distribution to optimize team efficiency and effectiveness.

· Ability to work in various time zones and manage vendors from multiple time zones.

4. Project Management:

· Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.

· Identify and mitigate project risks and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize project requirements and deliverables.

5. Relationship Management:

· Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment of priorities and effective collaboration.

· Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on application-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to align application strategies with business objectives.

· Facilitate communication and collaboration between multiple country, regional, and global IT teams to drive consistency and standardization.

· Act as a bridge between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of technical requirements and challenges.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in hands-on technical roles, with a focus on b2b and b2c applications development with Enterprise Standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in technologies of OutSystems, Java Hibernate, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, C#, JavaScript, Entity Framework, REST APIs, web services, Talend, ADF, and Power Bi.

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Deploying & Managing Servers, Storage, and applications in Azure, Oracle & AWS Clouds.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in OutSystems development and hands-on experience in Integration with Legacy Systems and custom Extension development.

- Certification as an OutSystems Architecture Specialist is a must.

- Good Knowledge of Oracle Retail Xstore and Customer Engagement is a must.

- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills using IDEs such as Visual Studio & Eclipse.

- Provide Solutions and validate the effort estimation from External vendors to meet the business and budget requirements.

- Experience in Implementing multiple software solutions and projects implemented in the organization by in-house team and external Vendors.

- Hands-on experience in VAPT fixes, Performance Improvements, Security Fixes, and Server Optimizations.

- Good Knowledge of Retail systems like ERP, CRM, Omnichannel, and Marketplace business processes is good to have.

- Good to have knowledge of tools such as – TFS, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.

- Proficient in the usage and administration of MS SQL, MYSQL, & Oracle Databases.

- Proficient in Middleware and Integrations with multiple Enterprise Systems using MuleSoft and legacy tools.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

- Familiar with end-to-end software development cycle, including design, testing, implementation, security audit, and maintenance.

- Excellent understanding of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.

- Proven track record of successfully managing IT teams across multiple countries, with onsite/offshore models, and managing the delivery.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager of IT Support / Senior IT Executive will support the IT team in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel group’s IT systems. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and assisting in the implementation of IT projects across the group’s properties. The position requires hands-on experience in managing IT systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring that technology supports both operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Operations and Support:

• Assist in the management of daily IT operations, including monitoring systems, networks, servers, and storage across hotel properties.
• Provide technical support to hotel staff and corporate employees, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related issues.
• Maintain and update IT systems to ensure their optimal performance and security.

2. IT Project Support:

• Assist in the execution of IT projects, including upgrades to systems like Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and guest-facing technologies.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager and other stakeholders to ensure IT projects are completed on time and within scope.

3. Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect the company’s IT environment from internal and external threats.
• Assist in performing security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with corporate policies and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).

4. Infrastructure Maintenance:

• Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud solutions.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of IT systems through regular backups, patch management, and system monitoring.

5. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide first-level support for technical issues encountered by hotel properties, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and escalation when necessary.
• Work closely with hotel IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve system and hardware issues.

6. Vendor Management:

• Assist in managing relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure effective delivery of IT services and solutions.
• Assist in evaluating new technology solutions and recommend improvements to current systems where needed.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on system performance, incidents, and project progress.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in IT management or systems administration, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (e.g., networks, servers, storage) and experience with hotel-specific systems like PMS and POS.
• Problem-solving Skills:Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hospitality systems and applications (e.g., PMS, POS, guest experience technologies).
• Familiarity with cloud computing, cybersecurity best practices, and IT compliance standards.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.

Responsbility:

• Developing in-depth product knowledge in software and hardware, data analysis, flow cell chemistry and library prep kits
• Providing 2nd-line technical support in resolving issues
• Handling customer feedbacks, analyzing issues, prioritizing their resolution by Product Management
• Rolling-out solutions to the wider technical support teams
• Reviewing customer-facing documentation for clarity and accuracy
• Preparing the support team for the launch of new product

Requirements:

• A PhD degree in a relevant field like Molecular Biology, Genetics, Life Sciences etc..
• 3+ years commercial exporuse in the biotech/biomedical industry
• Prior experience in a field or office-based technical support role
• Prior experience in handling product complaints, doing risk assessments, collecting product feedback; and working with teams like Product Management, Product Development, Quality Assurance etc
• A background of lab experience with knowledge and understanding of genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and related fields. In addition, theoretical knowledge and experience of novel experimental design, sample preparation methodologies, data analysis and biological phenomena interpretation. We would be looking for knowledge and experience on NGS platforms along with experience in presenting, teaching or training other scientists!
• We expect technical competency to understand and clearly discuss fundamental theory and principles of experimental design, techniques and results; to stay current in technical knowledge. Proficiency with data visualization and analysis techniques is desirable but not essential!
• Prior experience in developing and improving processes for product usage and support is desirable, as is an understanding/experience of handling product complaints and managing product quality.
• You should have an approachable manner that encourages interaction with others and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. You will be an excellent troubleshooter and able to manage different priorities.
