TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, coordinate and ensure timely follow-up of class and flag requirements in order that the vessel attains sea worthiness and commercial readiness.

• Determine class / flag requirements and apply to class / flag administration for surveys, inspections, related issues and special requests.

• Pre-preparation of draft specification for modification / alternation to vessel for compliance of Class / Statutory requirements.

• Plan, arrange and coordinate class and flag surveys or exemptions and other related requirements.

• Update, maintain accuracy and practice good housekeeping of records, plans and drawings.

• Follow up with Superintendent (Tech) for PMS overdue jobs report

2. Support S&P on change of flag and ownership of our vessel in coordination with class / flag.

• Plan, arrange and coordinate activities and logistics requirements for a smooth flag change and ownership transfer (vessel’s take over / hand over, new building).

3. Support S&P on request for technical information pertaining to our fleet.

4. Identify, arrange and follow up on offland items from vessel for repair / service:

• Source, identify and obtain approval of contractor and pricing for repair / service work.

• Follow up with contractor and vessel till the successful completion of the repair / service work, reports update to Danaos (PMS, offland, Running Hrs Machinery) and payment closure.

5. Support Superintendents in dry-docking and related activities:

• Liaise with vessel and other sources to compile dry dock planning requirements / specifications and budget / costing.

• Compile and review dry-docking specification quote from yards / contractors, prepare and update file for Superintendents, Fleet Manger and Technical Director’s discussion and approval.

Monitor, identify and communicate progress and any deviation from dry dock plan.

• Follow up on documentations (i) upon confirmation of selected yard / contractors and (ii) at the end of dry-docking process including closure of invoices with Superintendents.

6. Monitor and ensure all trading certificates are valid, follow up on hot work and daily correspondence with vessel.

7. Administer, review and enforce the ISO procedures and requirements for technical processes.

PURCHASING RESPONSIBILITIES

8. Prepare and Issue Purchase order (PO)

• Ensure approval is obtained and proper closure of the purchasing activities for each technical purchase requirement.

9. Plan, coordinate and ensure that all requirements are delivered to vessel on time, at the right cost and specifications.

• Identify and source for vessels’ requirements (i.e. general store, spares, provision and bonded stores).

• Plan, coordinate (with Operations and Fleet Personnel Department) and monitor the delivery of stores / spares to vessels in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Solicit vessel’s feedback on supplies and follow up on payments, non-conformities deliveries (quality, quantity, specifications) with respective suppliers.

• Monitor spare parts readiness and plan delivery to vessel at the earliest convenient port.

10. Update and maintain accuracy of all office records and documentations.

• Ensure that all documents are properly filed and maintained for ease of reference and retrieval during audits.

• Maintain and update accurately the following records:

- Supply Log,

- Spares/Stores Report by 1st Week every month

- Gas Bottle inventory

- Counter party evaluation for Technical Attendance

- Worklist

- Vessel Expense Report.

11. Ensure that purchasing role and responsibility are carried out in accordance with Company’s policy and procedures.

• Ensure that all vessels comply with Company’s policy and procedure for Shipboard Purchase.

• Ensure proper closure of purchasing activities for each purchase requirement.

12. Ensure that suppliers’ performances meet Company’s expectations and contract prices are competitive.

• Familiarize with different supply types and their specifications to perform price comparison / accurate evaluation and negotiation to ensure right purchases.

• Review contracts, negotiate prices and year-end rebate.

The C&S Resident Technical Officer (RTO) shall be part of the site supervisory team in providing supervision, inspections and Quality Assurance of the New Canopy Shelter to Existing Bus Gates (C&S and Architectural) works for the project. Applicants should possess the following minimum requirements:

1. Minimum five (5) years of C&S engineering experience in supervising C&S works preferably in hospital, commercial or aviation construction industry, with construction value of the projects in excess of S$1 million;
2. Minimum a Diploma in C&S;
3. Certified RTO Accredited by IES/ACES;
4. Attended the Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course;
5. Experience in the supervision of structural steel construction;
6. Experience with Structural Retrofitting or Strengthening nature of work;
7. Experience in the supervision of reinforced concrete construction and prefabrication works;
8. Experience in architectural finishing/building works;
9. Past experience with projects located within Changi and Seletar Airport will be advantageous; and
10. Good team player with ability to work independently and multi-task;

Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.

Assign job tasks and work as per electrical project schedules.

Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs to them.

Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work attained from assigned staff.

Recruit, guide, train, monitor and terminate assigned employees as required.

Recommend effective solutions specified particular weight related to employment status of employees.

Schedule, assign, plan and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on different electrical projects.

Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedule

• Understanding of Project Specifications, construction drawings and to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client’s requirements
• Monitor site works to ensure the method statements and work procedure are strictly followed.
• Competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor’s work site
• Ensure the Builder executes the work in accordance to Consultant’s instructions
• Check drawings for discrepancies and highlight to Consultant, suggesting possible solutions to prevent delays
• Conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project
• To ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records and approved /as-built drawings
• Maintaining and updating site records on progress of work, housekeeping and preparing reports
• Verify the contractors’ progress payment, claim in terms of work done and materials/equipment delivered and stored on site
• Witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the contractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications
• Report to project QP / Project Consultants Team on quality and progress
• Steel Structure experience will be add on advantage
• Period: 15-18 months
• Start from: November 2024

• Conversant in contract administration with Public Service Sector Conditions of Contract, conversant with statutory requirements, site management, quality control procedures, systems testing & commissioning and submission of progress reports.
• Conversant in M&E design, specifications, site installation, services coordination, code of practice, Authority inspection and handing over.
• Must be willing to do shift work.

Scope of Work

Administrative duties to support school day to day operations:

• Attend to phone calls and walk-in enquiries;
• Maintain registry of all incoming & outgoing mails;
• Accept mails/goods on behalf of school and ensure prompt routing to the staff in-charge;
• Printing jobs and issuing of stationery to staff & students; maintain stock of office stationery;
• Attend to students matters including unwell cases, lost & found etc
• Clerical duties such as survey collation, data entry, filing, minutes-writing etc
• Any other duties as assigned by the school

Note: Candidate to be deployed either at school’s General Office or at school’s MOE kindergarten interchangable.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

a. Full GCE O Level or A Level certificate or its equivalent

b. Good communication and inter-personal skills

c. Good team player who is resourceful and has a high level of initiative

d. Meticulous and detailed in carrying out tasks

e. Proficient in MS Office

f. Possess initiative and resourcefulness to handle challenging situations

g. Knowledge of first-aid is preferred

h. Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a school or related environment.

Contract Period: From 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 with an option to extend the Contract for a further period of one year from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours: 

Mondays to Thursdays: 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break 

Fridays: 7.00am to 4.00pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break 
