The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the overall technical management of the tugboat assigned to him/her, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. • Provide technical training and development to crew members to ensure they are highly skilled and familiar with onboard systems. Assist and participate in drills and emergency exercises to ensure crew members are fully prepared for emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical records for each vessel, including maintenance logs, inspections, and repairs, while preparing and submitting regular reports on fleet performance, technical issues, and maintenance status to management.
• Oversee all technical projects, including vessel retrofits, upgrades, and modifications, while coordinating the work of external contractors and suppliers involved in these projects.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping), or a related field. Preferably with COC2.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent
• Occasional travel may be required
• Experience in technical management of tugboats is an advantage
• Relevant experience in electrical and automation systems
• Sea-going experience preferred

• Liaise with Clients, Consultants, and Authorities for management of the project
• Must have the experience in Diaphragm wall and pilling
• Perform Civil/Structure engineering design works
• Responsible for on-site technical / engineering / administrative matters
• Involve in project planning, implementation, and close monitoring of projects
• Determine best materials and methods with Professional Engineers
• Liaise with Architects on design and safety of the structure
• Analysis of structural components with engineering software
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and computer models of the structure
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Senior Engineer

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of LTA experience required
• Required Skill(s): Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with all levels of people
• Relevant experience in the design of Buildings, Civil and Infrastructure works
• Preferably with project site co-ordination experience
• Knowledge of engineering software and MS Office
