IIJ Global Solutions Singapore Pte. Ltd., is a subsidiary of Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ), Japan’s first commercial Internet Service Provider. The company offers a wide range of IT solutions, including high-quality network services, cloud computing, and advanced security products, tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
Leveraging its expertise in ICT services and network solutions, the company develops and executes strategies to expand its business, with a focus on high-margin services. To support this growth, we are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive these initiatives and contribute to the company’s success in delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions.
Strategic Planning and Proposal Development
Design and propose comprehensive SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions to senior management (CxO-level executives)/board member of key clients, addressing enterprise-level security and network access challenges.
Develop strategies that incorporate practical knowledge of cybersecurity laws across Asian countries, including Singapore, Thailand, China, and Japan, to create proposals that meet regional legal and security requirements and ensure all solutions are compliant with both international standards and local regulatory frameworks, balancing security needs with legal obligations.
Develop and deliver tailored strategies for secure cloud and network access, ensuring alignment with customers’ overarching business and IT goals.
Create impactful business cases and presentations that highlight the value of SASE technologies for enterprise environments.
Market Development and Sales Framework
Establish a scalable sales framework for promoting high-margin services provided by the company’s headquarters.
Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the Singaporean market, ensuring offerings align with both local customer needs and broader company objectives.
Collaboration and Customization
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, engineering, and sales teams including the headquarters, to tailor services for the Singapore market.
Facilitate effective communication between local and global teams in Singapore, Indonesia, China and the headquarter in Japan to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.
Gather market feedback to guide the customization and localization of SASE, SOC and other ICT solutions.
Leadership in ICT Innovation
Lead the integration of cutting-edge ICT technologies, including SASE platforms, to enhance the company’s service delivery capabilities.
Innovate new approaches for leveraging cloud-based and secure networking technologies to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Drive initiatives to continuously refine and expand the company’s ICT service portfolio, ensuring competitiveness in a dynamic market.
Customer Engagement and Experience
Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, offering insights and recommendations on advanced ICT solutions tailored to their business needs.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by overseeing the end-to-end delivery of proposed solutions, from initial engagement to implementation.
Monitor customer feedback and industry trends to proactively address emerging needs and challenges.
Job Requirements
1. More than 10 years of experience in the ICT, network infrastructure industry in particular as technical sales. Successful candidate is required to have sales experience in ICT industry within the last 3 years.
2. More than 10 years in implementing ICT network and security products and solutions as part of foreign-affiliated ICT company’s headquarters. Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple sales channels, including contracts handled at both the headquarters and local levels, ensuring alignment with regional and global business objectives.
3. More than 10 years of experience in creating and delivering impactful technical sales proposals to senior management (CxO-level executives)/board member of key clients which are multinational and large enterprises such as globally listed companies, effectively aligning ICT services like network, security, and SOC solutions with business challenges and corporate objectives.
4. More than 3 years of expertise in designing and customizing Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, integrating cloud-based security and networking capabilities to meet clients’ unique needs and ensure seamless, secure access. Successful candidate is required to have experience in developing proposals involving multi-vendor solutions, including but not limited to Prisma Access, Zscaler, Cloudflare, Cato Networks, demonstrating flexibility and depth of knowledge across various technologies.
5. More than 10 years of experience in leading and collaborating with engineering teams across multiple countries, such as Singapore, Indonesia, China, and the headquarters team in Japan, including directing regional teams while based at a development hub to deploy and install SASE components like Prisma Access, Zscaler, Cloudflare, or Cato Networks while ensuring operational efficiency.
6. Practical knowledge of cybersecurity laws across Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand, China and Japan, with the ability to make comprehensive proposals that address regional legal and security requirements.
7. Strong knowledge of security solutions, including SOC services, with skills to develop and present comprehensive offerings that cover threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
8. Ability to manage network troubleshooting, incident resolution, and collaborate with engineers and vendors. Willingness to handle on-call duties, oversee after-hours and holiday work, and maintain service quality in a 24/365 environment.
