– Obtain quotations based on specified requirements, comparing offers from at least three suppliers unless contracted otherwise.
– Evaluate offers for availability, suitability, and pricing; consult with the vessel regarding alternative products to avoid incorrect deliveries.
– Place purchase orders efficiently, ensuring timely confirmation from suppliers.
– Monitor orders to ensure complete and timely delivery to vessels; communicate partial deliveries and delays to vessel crew with updated information.
– Coordinate the handling of incorrectly delivered spares with technical storekeepers and local agents.
– Verify and process invoices, resolving any discrepancies and managing claims with suppliers.
– Control costs onsite during Dry Dock operations and prepare budget reports.
– Generate the Expected Cost/Accrual Report monthly and follow up with vessels and suppliers regarding deliveries.

• Conduct inspection and check as required under Authority Operational and Safety requirements.
• Conduct compliance check on the implementation of mitigating measures in method statement, risk assessment and DfS register.
• Ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, mechanical and engineering works including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, material and equipment on site, safety, etc, are updated in a timely manner and properly kept,
• Maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done including records of tests, inspections, status of work, variation works, tests, inspections, work progress, safety, site diary, material on site and equipment on site, labour force, day works, provisional items or provisional quantities etc,

Job Requirements:-

• Minimum five (5) years of experience as RTO, of which at least two (2) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to the Works
• Diploma in Civil or Structural engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.
• Accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• Have a certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry or equivalent.
• Possess good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description

• RTOs shall provide standing supervision of all civil and structural works to ensure compliance with the following authorities' requirements:
• The inspection of the bus depot involves the demolition and removal of the existing Pasir Panjang Distripark. Following this, the construction will take place for main depot building, dormitory and administration office.
• Supervise and monitoring of contractors’ work to ensure they are carried out in accordance with the provision in the contract document.
• To monitor the progress and assist Resident Engineer on structural inspection on all Structural works according to the approved drawings issued.
• Reject poor quality of works at site and inform RE to raise non-conformance notice.
• To ensure all building works are carried out in accordance to the design and specifications as specified in the terms of contract.
• Liaise with contractors in the coordination of site work
• Ensure contractors maintain work safety and housekeeping of the site.
• Checking of all drawings, specifications and schedule of works at site.
• Monitor and report progress of the works on site
• Undertake any other duties related to the project assigned.

Job Requirements

• The RTO shall have minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in projects similar in nature to the Works in the Civil Contract.
• All RTO shall have a diploma in the civil discipline or equivalent and be accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS.
• RTOs should also have experience in supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.

Work During Office hour

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Willing to work on rotation shifts)

Sunday and Public Holiday: 00:00 hours onwards or otherwise advised by project officer depending on LTA’s contractor work schedule.
