Technical Engineer provides innovative solutions in ACMV industry. Responsibilities:

Shipbuilding Planning and Preparation

• Confirmation of construction schedule, detailed drawings, and specifications. Participation in regular meetings with shipowners, shipyards, designers, and other relevant parties.

Shipbuilding Quality control

• Verify that materials and parts used conform to specifications. Checking the progress and quality of each construction process to ensure proper quality. • Completion inspection and verification during the final process. Confirmation of final trials such as sea trials. Witnessing and confirmation of the final handover of the vessel.

Preparation for cable laying work after delivery

• Order and load the materials and equipment needed for the cable laying work. Planning the suitable crew rotation schedule and the operation schedule. Cable installation project planning support.

Defect warranty

• When a machine problem occurs, troubleshoot to identify the cause, and resolve it after delivery.
• Negotiate compensation with the shipyard in the event of a problem occurring and maintain the ship in a sound condition.

Cable laying Project Operation and Vessel Maintenance

• Quickly identify the cause of mechanical or electrical troubles in the working vessels and establish a proper restore/repair plan. Take precautions to prevent troubles on working vessels. Handle operational issues, repairs, and/or modifications to Cable laying Vessel fleet.
• Liaise and coordinate with various stakeholders, Vessel master’s shipyard and vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance needed for the operations.
• Prepare proposals for docking requirements and specifications. Check and ensure that spare parts inventory management and condition are sufficient to support repair and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure quality,environment, health & safety requirements are met.

Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Graduated advanced Marine Technology Specialist Course or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of Engineering experience in an offshore wind farm, ROV, Trencher or offshore vessel projects.
• Expert knowledge of Trencher (power cable trenching machine)
• Expert knowledge of Work class ROV
• Expert knowledge of wind farm construction projects.
• Expert knowledge of seabed soil information especially.

The Technical Designer is part of the design team from the beginning and assists in making sure the design intent from concept is carried out in the detailing stage. He/She will be supporting the designer in selection of materials and systems,further the design resolution of details, specification reviews and/or writing, local building code compliance and analysis of the same in the International Building Code as requested by the project/client/operator; ultimately responsibility is in the quality control review of project documents. The Technical Designer supports the preparation of detailed drawings and tender documents. The position has experience in design development, architectural CAD and Revit documentation and drafting, and detailing. The Technical Designer is highly organized and collaborative and contributes to project design and delivery, and client care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assures efficient preparation of detailed drawings through schematic design and design development to tender documentation phase on assigned projects

Job Responsibilities

1. Supervises all technical aspects / performance of assigned vessels' operation including maintenance, repair, safety and environmental protection to ensure that these are carried out in a flawless, efficient, competitive and customer focused operation and according to the international and flag state legislation and to initiate corrective actions when such performance is not compliant with the Company's standards. Collects all necessary information in order to timely compile the dry-docking and major repair specification and participates in the planning and monitoring of major repairs and/or dry-docking repairs and services.

2. Drafts and controls fleet's technical annual budget (e.g., spares, stores, lubricants) in order to develop and implement competitive budgets and maintain the commercial competitiveness of the fleet.

3. Monitors the superintendent engineers' visits on the vessels in order to check and evaluate their condition and maintenance progress; to issue further instructions on maintenance and repair activities; to file, record and report findings to the Technical Director.

4. Reviews and evaluates quotations for all technical spares, supplies, repair services, lubricants, paints, and engine stores to be purchased and authorizes the purchase order depending on the costs.

5. Cooperates closely with the claims department for the process of damage claims and collect all necessary technical information in order to provide technical back-up in support of such claims.

6. Informs immediately the Technical Director in case of emergency.

7. Coordinates and liaises with other departments within the company to collectively provide an efficient ship management service. More specifically, assists the Insurance Dept. on collection of necessary documentation; interacts with the Purchasing Dept. for procurement cycle follow up, spares, supplies and services in coordination with the vessels; coordinates with MSQ Dept. and the DPAs to ensure that assigned vessel are in full compliance with company's SMS (:e.g., certificates, NCRs, documents etc.); works with Crew Dept. and contributes to the recruitment, training and appraisals of the seafarers employed by the company; and cooperates with other superintendents (i.e., marine) and/or fleet operators to safeguard fleet's and company's best interest and achieve optimum vessels' performance.

8. If needed, visit the managed vessels to assess their condition during PSC and/or attends dry-dock and repairs in order to monitor their progress and ensure their effective completion.
