Position: Laboratory Technician (1 Year Contract)

Work Location: Jurong Island

Work Schedule: Permanent 12-hour shift work rotating (8am to 8pm/ 8pm to 8am)

OBJECTIVE

• Ensure timely delivery of quality products and follow all Quality Control Plans

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive, collect and sort samples
• Perform incoming, in-process and outgoing quality checks in a timely manner
• Document all test results accurately and report deviations
• Investigate anomalies
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
• Follow all Quality Control plans
• Maintain, calibrate, validate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Participate, if any, in inspection of installations
• Manage stocks and orders
• Follow up on audit findings
• Upkeep laboratory standards and participate in laboratory improvement initiatives

Education: NITEC or Diploma in Material Science or Chemistry or equivalent.

Job description

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and HVAC systems in the world. Facilities Technicians at Google data centers operate, monitor and support physical facilities conditions. Some of these duties will include heating and cooling of air and water, power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution and control and monitoring systems. You regularly help inspect, maintain and repair various data center systems such as piping and non-critical electrical or mechanical system components). You provide daily assistance to senior technicians as you read blueprints/schematics, conduct tours of systems and assess their working order.

As an advocate for best practices, you develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs while improving overall data center efficiency. You ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you manage data center performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.

Job responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment in a Data Center environment.
• Prepare and execute operation procedures, respond to work request/service failure and provide operational and technical expertise in required areas. Coordinate vendor support in repairs/replacement and support project implementation (e.g.,Site acceptance tests, factory acceptance tests, site inspection for defects, etc.).
• Improve site Water Usage Effectiveness WUE and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), operational efficiency and to minimize environmental impact. Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA), recovery and prevention actions for service failure.
• Provide tracking and trending operational characteristics. Ensure safety rules and regulations associated with operating infrastructure.
• Work 12 hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.

Minimum qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of Electrical experience (e.g., electrical testing equipment or electrical distribution) in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to participate in material handling tasks such as lifting, carrying or moving up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of equipment, the required use of safety equipment like limited weight bearing work platforms, ladders, step stools and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety and ergonomic guidelines and assessments.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including on-call rotation and 12-hour rotating shifts.

Preferred qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, verifiable training in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in operating and maintaining mission critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, pharma, semiconductor, refineries, power plants, industrial etc).
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units.
• Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal operations or during emergency conditions.
• Ability to work with varying outdoor temperature conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Receive biological samples from customers for NGS Sequencing.
- Prepare sequencing libraries, perform quality assessment and perform sequencing runs.
- Analyze sequencing data and report results in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring proper documentation of all processes including report of sequencing services conducted.
- Interact with bioinformaticians and evaluate bioinformatics output.
- Maintain lab equipment & documentation in accordance with quality requirements of ISO and CAP accreditation standards.
- Other ad-hoc projects as required by the superiors.

Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
- Hands on NGS experience is highly desirable.
- Familiar with real time PCR, bioanalyzer, sequencing assays.

Food Processing Technician (with Logistics Support) is responsible for combining food processing responsibilities with occasional support for our logistics operations, ensuring the seamless flow of our high-quality food products from production to customer.

Production:

• Follow established production procedures and safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain food processing equipment.
• Inspect and weigh ingredients to ensure accuracy.
• Package and label finished products according to company standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.

Logistics Support (Occasional):

• Deliver products to customers' locations in a timely and courteous manner.
• Load and unload food products from the company vehicle.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Install and assemble components into sub-assemblies.
• Integrate the assemblies or components to ensure functionality.
• Align and calibrate mechanical components to achieve functionality.
• Perform coiling of the FCVA filters.
• Fabricate, size, install, and integrate gas, cooling water, and vacuum piping into the machine.
• Conduct vacuum and water leak checks.
• Disassemble and pack the machine.
• Perform additional component steps, such as polishing, filling, and sanding to achieve the required fit.

Requirements:

• "O" Level/Higher Nitec or equivalent in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Engineering-related fields.
• Proven experience in assembly, integration, and calibration of mechanical components.
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly and sub-assembly processes.
• Experience with gas, cooling water, and vacuum piping fabrication and installation.
• Familiarity with vacuum and water leak testing procedures.
• Ability to perform polishing, filling, and sanding for component fitting.
• Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting and machine disassembly/packing tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.

Boiler Technician

Engineering company specialized in Steam Boilers and Combustion Systems. We have engagement for Operation and Maintenance of Industrial Power Plant with Steam Generation.

Work Scope:

• Supervise operation of Gas Turbine for Power Generation and Waste Heat Steam Boiler.

• Join our team of Technicians for 24 hours operation of the power plant.

• Work will be in 12 hours shift from 8 to 8

• Operation of the plant as per Standard Operation Procedures.

• Perform inspections as per check list.

• Report of any abnormalities to the plant manager.

• Participate in preventive maintenance

• Recording of the plant performance parameters and daily activities.

Requirements:

• Class 1 or 2 Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency
