Job Description

· Training and Specialization: Training provided to specialize in clean room operations which is critical to maintain product quality.

· Hands-On role: On the job training and operating equipment the clean room. The equipment includes:

◦ Slot Dies Machines

◦ Vacuum Drying Equipment

◦ Infrared Heating Machine

· Maintenance and Compliance: Conduct preventive and corrective works on the listed equipment, ensuring compliance to relevant standards and procedures.

· Process Improvement: Act as an essential team member by actively contributing to the enhancement of production processes.

· Problem Solving: Solve practical problems with R&D and production team.

Requirements

· Diploma in Engineering.

· Able to work on-site at Singapore-west.

· Able to speak, write, read in English.

· Good hand-eyes coordination and fine motoring skills.

· Able to to carry around 20kg load for 2 minutes (There are works requires 2 men to transfer certain heavy parts to trolley. Safety measures is strictly implemented to avoid injury).

· No claustrophobia (There are works requires a man to go underneath the equipment. Safety measures is strictly implemented to avoid injury).

Key responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on mechanical/electrical assembly tasks within the standard time
• Ensure that the assembled machine is according to Makino's quality standards
• Responsible for keying the operation time into EES for performance measurement
• Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring that the assigned machine area is clean and tidy
• Carry out duties in according with Quality Policy, EHS control procedures and WIS
• Ensure that all machine tools and instruments are properly calibrated and taken care of

Job requirements:

• Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience working in Assembly/Production is an added advantage
• Able to work shifts and commit to overtime on weekdays and weekends when required
• Able to handle physical work and stand for long hours
• Able to read and interpret drawings
• Have the initiative to learn and produce quality outcome
• Responsible and committed to the assigned task
• Team player and able to work independently

• Engage in the installation, repair and maintenance of various technology-based equipment.
• Conduct regular checks and troubleshooting to ensure the technical equipment operates at its optimal performance.
• Provide on-site assistance with hardware and software use and address and resolve technical issues faced by clients or customers.
• Carry out diagnostic tests and analyses to identify the roots of technical issues.
• Liaise with team members and communicate with stakeholders in layman's terms to assess needs and system requirements.
• Record and document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal.
• Stay up to date with technical developments and advancements in allied fields.

Requirements

Purpose and Scope

As an Operations Technician for the process plants in the Energy-from-Waste cluster, the individual will be part of a team who is hands-on in operating the industrial processes and technology to harness energy from waste, including recycled wood from construction and demolition waste, as well as waste from industrial, commercial and municipal sectors.

This role is based in Singapore. There is no relocation package.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Operation of boilers, ensuring smooth operation and taking of daily process log reading
• Prepare equipment’s (isolate and drain/de-pressure Pump, exchanger, fan of others process equipment) for maintenance jobs
• Collect waste and water sample for lab analysis
• Able to read P&ID drawing and know the application of KKS
• Perform LOTO for equipment in accordance to isolation list prepared.
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance work (eg, replacing gasket, topping up lude oil, strainer cleaning, greasing and other simple task)

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Minimum Higher NITEC with engineering / technical background
• Forklift license and boiler attendance certificate will be an advantage
• Possess good attitude and willingness to learn

• Roles & Responsibilities
• Supervise, organize, and plan activities to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of all vehicles and all types of machinery
• Prepare project progress reports and plan for one week to look ahead to activities to be completed
• Redline markup drawings to be done progressively and update engineering
• Perform MTO and update progressively to ensure proper control of material procurement and usage
• Ensure that manpower is effectively deployed for maintenance timely
• Follow up on all vehicle operations and maintenance
• Understand and ensure compliance with vehicle requirements
• Manage and ensure subcontractor performance is in line with the provided schedule
• Resolve any technical problems or issues faced at the work site
• Attend the daily toolbox meeting and convey instructions clearly

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Experienced worker will be considered without education)
• Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical engine and motors operations
• Experience in managing a workforce of sub-contractors/workers
• Able to lead/chair daily discussions with sub-contractor supervisors for daily progress updates
• Ability to communicate effectively, and coordinate all machine activities
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and resolve issues
• Computer literacy – MS Excel for reporting.

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday - 9 am to 7 pm.

If required, may need to work on Sundays.
