Job Description:

The Manufacturing Technician performs all technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical, or systems. Completes tests, measurements, operations or process controls. Conducts troubleshooting to diagnose product, process, or program defects and repair them.

• Perform technical duties on all functional work group projects; employ test technique/procedures for all key cell projects.
• Skilled with electronics, hydraulics and/or mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and/or programming.
• Ability to: blueprint reading; component identification; wire-preparation, stripping, and crimping; harness repair and termination; use of all pertinent manual hand tools.
• Perform basic wire or electronic part soldering.
• Perform assembly of products according to established specifications, engineering drawings or standard work instructions.
• Use of production work orders, routings, quality travellers, and bill of materials.
• Develop assembly and test procedures to promote production of quality products.
• Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid any breakdowns and failures.
• To maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.

Requirements:

• NITEC/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics/ mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to: blueprint reading; component identification; basic wire or electronic part soldering.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of facility systems, including cleanrooms, HVAC, DI water, air compressors, process gas, pest control, security, cleaning, and office management.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns during shifts, implementing corrective actions to restore normalcy.
• Perform daily inspections, log activities and abnormalities, and support preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Respond promptly to critical alarms and breakdown calls, collaborating with teams for resolution.
• Supervise contractors, ensure compliance with safety standards, and provide training as needed.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Room Monitoring Systems (RMS), addressing faults and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist with facility refurbishments, electrical shutdowns, and energy optimization initiatives.
• Track utilities, spare parts inventory, and perform ad-hoc maintenance tasks as required.
• Contribute to Quality and EHS audits, contractor risk assessments, and cost-saving measures.

Requirements

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in HVAC, compressed air, process gas, and purified water systems; knowledge of electrical systems advantageous.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, SAP, FMCS, and RMS systems is advantageous
