RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out routine, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of instrument, analyser and electrical equipment, e.g. control valve, transmitters, switchgear control, motors, GC, boiling point, freeze point and flash point analyser, etc.

Diploma or NITEC in a relevant Engineering discipline

• At least 3 years relevant experience in an oil refinery/petrochemical plant, preferably with EMA license

Responsibilities

· Installs and repairs wiring, fixtures, and equipment for all electrical services aboard ship and in shipyard facilities, following blueprints and wiring diagrams

· Installs conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, and threads wires through conduit to terminals, for example connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.

· Tests electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators

· Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements

· Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits

· Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required.

· Maintains electrical system maintenance histories notating date, and extent of repairs and/or alterations

· Adhere to Bizsafe safety standards and ISO quality standards

· Electrical automation control system: to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify the new control system.

Requirements

·Willing to work in outdoor harsh conditions e.g heat, oil, noise and dust

·NTC/Higher NTC in Electrical/Mechatronics/M&E Engineering and related field.

• To communicate on the status on each machine before shift hand over.
• Ensure own responsible machines to be warm up before start of shift.
• To report any scrap or technical issue to leader faced during processing.
• To ensure respective in-charge machines are fully utilize.
• Inform leader if machine is faulty/down to avoid delay in delivery.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum ‘O’ Levels, Higher Nitec/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics), or its equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in production environment preferred.
• Experience in setup and operating single point diamond turning machine.
• Preferably some years of work experience in related or relevant work experience in optics manufacturing.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
• Able to carry heavy items (segments or tooling).
• Willing to perform rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attend to daily operations team, such as installation, maintenance, replacement fabrication and repairs.
• To execute work plan and ensure job compliance to quality standards.
• Supervise and oversee the mechanical team to ahieve best operational efficiency
• Attend to ad hoc job at train and bus depots
• Responsible for personal and safety of others accordance to workplace and health safety act
