5-day work week on rostered basis to work on weekdays, weekends and PH, Max 42 hours.

· Training and Specialization: Training provided to specialize in measurement methodology, equipment and result-reading. High quality measurement result is the essential foundation to our success in R&D and product development.

· Hands-On Role: On the job training and operating metrology equipment including:

◦ Step Profiler

◦ EL/PL machine

◦ Vision inspection tool

◦ Sheet resistance

· Maintenance and Compliance: Conduct preventive and corrective works on the listed equipment, ensuring compliance to relevant standards and procedures.

· Process Improvement: Act as an essential team member by actively contributing to the enhancement of measurement processes.

The role will be based in Tuas.

Responsibilities:

• electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Pilot Plant and laboratory equipment.
• day-to-day operations, the general housekeeping and the proper preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of Pilot Plant equipment in Singapore Pilot Plant facilities and R&D laboratory.
• proper execution of Pilot Plant trials/laboratory activities including all the preparatory and setting-up activities up, close-out activities and the turn-over of product samples and the storing of Pilot Batch records.
• Provide support to Project Teams when required such as the physical testing of raw materials and finished products, the receiving and sending samples and such other requests.

Requirements:

• ITE graduate or Polytechnic graduate with Diploma in the relevant field of Engineering - Electrical, Mechatronics and/or Automation.
• Must be physically fit and willing to work long hours in executing Laboratory and Pilot Plant trials.
• Preferably with experience in operating, maintaining and doing actual troubleshooting on wet process and pilot scale spray drying equipment including packaging test equipment would be an advantage.

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated MSAT Process Development Technician to support downstream bioprocess development. You will conduct experiments, perform analytical tests, and manage laboratory operations to ensure smooth and compliant processes. This role is ideal for someone with a background in biotechnology or biochemistry and a strong interest in laboratory work and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Process Evaluation Studies:

• Carry out experiments to assess and validate scale-down models for downstream processes, including ultrafiltration, to support process development initiatives.

Perform Analytical Testing:

• Execute analytical tests on process samples to generate data for evaluating and optimizing bioprocess performance.

Manage Laboratory Activities:

• Oversee lab operations, including buffer preparation, inventory tracking for freezers and materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment through effective waste management.

Inventory and Resource Oversight:

• Ensure all necessary lab materials and supplies are adequately stocked and available for ongoing experiments and studies.

Ensure Compliance and Recordkeeping:

• Accurately document lab activities and experimental results while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Previous experience in laboratory work, particularly in downstream bioprocessing, is preferred.
• Familiarity with ultrafiltration and other downstream processes.
• Proficiency in buffer preparation and inventory management.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
