• Ability to install or relocate any addition or existing equipment when necessary, such as replacing/repairing bearings, gears, belts, shafts, springs, control mechanism, heat element, motors and associated equipment in the kitchen etc.
• Log maintenance activities, respond to HotSOS work orders, and coordinate with external vendors when needed.
• Handle emergencies and implement Fire, Life, and Work Safety procedures across all F&B areas.
• Report all incidents immediately, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

What you bring

• Preferably a NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical/Building/Facilities Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year as Kitchen Technician with hands-on experience, preferably in a hospitality or facilities-related field, will be an added advantage
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems in a hotel or similar environment is a plus.

About the role

Duty Technician

The Duty Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining all engineering operations within the hotel. He/she will ensure compliance with maintenance standards, monitor supplies, and respond to emergency breakdowns while aligning with hotel policies.

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel guestrooms and key machinery, ensuring upkeep from air conditioning to refrigeration functions flawlessly.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the hotel’s power plant systems, including heating, air conditioning, and power.
• Follow hotel policies and corporate guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Perform as part of the overall Global Conference Services team by delivering audio / video support for our customers' video conference systems and webcasting platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite support for visitors and executive level events
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate solutions
• Ability to support and communicate with executive level clients (and higher)
• Perform daily inspection and regular maintenance of hardware and software for internal platform
• Execute regular preventative maintenance on all hardware
• Diagnose network problems impacting one or many internal platform applications
• Utilize remote access Mac, Linux, and Windows systems to control internal platform (via SSH, VNC; be able to navigate file systems on remote machines)
• Work with Client Engineers to troubleshoot difficult internal problems
• Adept in creating Technical Documentation
• Ability to meet and exceed service deadlines

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience
• Comfortable working with mobile device OS
• Experience working in video conferencing, video production, or post production
• Experience with G-Suite, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx
• Knowledgeable with computer terminals and commands
• Experience with Google Workspace administration
• Excellent soft skill and readiness to demonstrate technology to high profile customers
• Experience with video displays and content management systems

Responsibilities:

• Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on CCTV systems installed in buses

• troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CCTV equipment

• Repair or replace faulty components as needed to ensure proper functionality

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on CCTV systems

• Record and maintain accurate documentation of repair activities

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in various environments

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment

• Meet the KPI set by the department

Additional Information:

• Diploma or Electric Certification

• Ability to enter data accurately in Excel or similar software

• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Basic knowledge of electronics and CCTV systems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to work night shifts as required by job demands
