We are looking for a Research Engineer who will be responsible working on a project on cyber security and privacy issues for IoT and cyber-physical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop techniques that detect attacks on IoT/CPS;
• Perform analysis and simulations to validate designs;
• Implementation and development of demos;
• Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, reports and presentations;
• Participate in presentations and demos for exhibiting work at appropriate events

Responsibilities:

• The Mixed-Signal IC (MEMS Interface) Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of capacitive and/or piezoelectric MEMS interface ASICs, including the required amplifiers, ADCs, filters and control logic, with characteristic high impedance inputs, ultra low power, low noise circuits etc .
• The responsibility of the Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer includes scheduling, design, simulation and layout of mixed-signal circuit blocks, including pre- and post-silicon verification.
• It is also expected that you will conduct periodic design reviews, including with application engineers.
• It is also expected that you will support test development and product development teams in bringing projects to production.

Requirements:

• PhD/Master’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in Analog or Mixed-signal IC design.
• Very good knowledge of CMOS processes.
• Highly proficient in analog and mixed-signal IC design EDA tools.
• Experienced in analog and mixed-signal circuit designs, such as regulators, DC-DC converters, low-power, low-noise biasing circuits and amplifiers, sigma-delta modulation and ADCs, etc
• Experience in design of high resolution, low power sigma-delta modulation preferred.
• Experience in design of ultra low power ADC preferred.
• Skilled in laboratory testing of IC prototypes.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system required.
• Experience in MEMS interface ASIC design advantageous.

The L1 IT Support Engineer (IT ServiceDesk) is accountable for providing a high level of satisfaction among students and staff by providing first-level support for all GESS standard software and hardware. This position entails the diagnosis and assessment of end-users' technical requirements, utilizing sound discernment to promptly address and resolve any issues that may arise.

The engineer's responsibilities encompass the identification, investigation, and resolution of technical issues, as well as the prompt and effective response to support requests from students and staff through in-person, email, and phone interactions. It is anticipated that they will document, chart, and monitor all issues to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.

Additionally, they may occasionally offer technical training and support to GESS personnel and students. The engineer is instrumental in ensuring that the team remains dedicated to providing exceptional support and satisfaction, and it is imperative that they adhere to the GESS values and expectations for customer service.

Furthermore, they may be obligated to oversee initiatives as necessary, thereby facilitating the continuous enhancement of technology services and support strategies within the educational environment.

Key Accountabilities

First-Level Troubleshooting and Support:

· Provide initial troubleshooting by guiding users through in person, via email and IT ticketing system, and over the phone while also offering remote desktop support using Remote Desktop Software.

· Deliver quality service to students and staff in all assigned tasks, consistently upholding GESS values.

· Ensure timely and effective solutions for any technical issues that may arise with GESS technology.

Incident Management:

· Log and track support calls in the designated GESS system(s).

· Prioritize and escalate tickets as required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Identify trends in support calls and develop documentation to address frequently occurring issues.

Communication and Reporting:

· Report problems and issues promptly, notifying management of any increasing trends, unusual activities, or repeated issues.

· Provide regular updates to customers on the status of ongoing resolution efforts.

· Attend daily and weekly meetings as requested or required to stay informed and aligned with team objectives.

Continuous Improvement:

· Recommend improvements for technology or systems, including procedural steps, increased training, and enhanced documentation.

· Access and utilize software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQs to assist in resolving end-user issues.

Collaboration and Support:

· Assist other teams in initiating, designing, and managing effective support solutions as required by the school’s needs.

· Collaborate with internal second-level support and departmental tech teams (Divisional Tech Help Center) for escalated or reassigned tickets.

Technology Development and Testing:

· Support the development and testing of new technologies to ensure operational integrity and functionality.

· Proactively communicate ideas, expectations, and goals while working with others to achieve desired outcomes.

Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management:

· Follow up on tickets approaching SLA deadlines to ensure timely resolution and avoid SLA failures.

Other Duties:

· Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Technology, adapting to the evolving needs of the school environment.

Knowledge and Experience

Education:

· Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Business Information Technology.

Technical Skills:

· Proficient in Windows OS and Apple products.

· Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and computer troubleshooting.

· Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (JAMF or Intunes) is a plus.

· Familiarity with ID Card and digital signature systems is advantageous.

Experience:

· At least three years of IT support experience, preferably in an educational environment.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Piping Engineer, he/she shall act as key person of the project as designated by Piping Department Manager and Lead Piping Engineer and performs the function inherent to this position. Responsible for the preparation of major piping layout, MTO sketch, and 3D CAD model review on piping system, equipment and structure, and interference detection. Has the technical responsibility for interpreting and evaluating stress/ vibration result, for reviewing piping layout, and piping information. He/She will also be responsible for reviewing piping engineering progress against approved schedule, for evaluating changes and taking corrective action when required, for providing technical guidance, and for organizing, executing and coordinating these responsibilities to ensure timely completion and meets project schedule and budget.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To study ITB, project and design basis such as scope of work, overall project schedule, basic design data, client specification, client standard drawings, existingdrawings, and plot plan.
• To assist in planning and organizing piping engineering activities and manpower requirement for the project.
• To assist in developing piping engineering and design schedule, manpower requirements, manhour distribution and execution plan based on the scope of work and approved budget manhour/schedule.
• To coordinate piping design and engineering effort with other area Lead Engineers and disciplines of the project as directed by Piping Design Supervisor.
• To prepare piping information list and layout and document list following standard procedure created for the project.
• To prepare piping general specification inclusive of specification for piping arrangement, piping support standards.
• To interpret and evaluate stress/vibration analysis result and provides necessary recommendation on resolving the method of analysis.
• To develop conceptual routing, piping layout and piping information of major critical equipment of the project such as tower/column, airfin coolers, heaters, compressors and reactors, preferably in 3D CAD format.
• To check and review all work such as piping layout and information prepared by Engineers, 3D model, MTO, BQ and other deliverables of the project for compliance to project standards or specifications, applicable codes, contract requirements, quality standards and accepted engineering and construction practices.
• To provide field engineering support/advice towards piping installation and testing at construction site.
• To perform thefunction inherent to Piping Key Person as designated by Piping Department Manager and Lead Piping Engineer.
• To evaluate the performance of and provide counseling and guidance to members of the project.
• To prepare lesson learned upon completion of the project and recommend preventive actions to avoid recurrence on future projects to Piping Design Supervisor.
• To perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Department Manager and Lead Piping Engineer.
• To carry out engineering support work during the construction phase of the project.

Education:

• Bachelor degree of any four years BS Engineering course preferably Mechanical Engineering or at least ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years in the field of piping design involving detailed design, stress evaluation, production work, 3D model review, and construction engineering support, three (3) years of which in a supervisory capacity.

Skills:

• Ability to use computer equipment and peripherals to carry out routine computing tasks.
• Good Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of SP3D.
• Basic knowledge of 3D Model review through Naviswork or SPR.
• Interpretation of stress/vibration analysis report.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical information, contracts reports and instructions.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients and ability to write effective minutes of meeting and other related business communications.
• Strong leadership qualities and analytical and reasoning abilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication.

He/She will be responsible for conversion of signal processing concepts (theoretical or prototyped in MATLAB or C-Language) into algorithms to be implemented into embedded DSP or ARM processors. He/she will also work together with audio research team members to evaluate, benchmark internally developed cutting edge proprietary speech/hearing algorithms which will be implemented in a range of high-volume audio product lines for customers. He/she will be responsible for understanding DSP hardware structure such as memory management and processor pipeline. He/she will be responsible for DSP software development & validation including requirement analysis for algorithm implementation, support patent applications efforts and support internal or external customer developments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, document and implement DSP audio software modules based on allocated requirements of the DSP architecture
• Develop novel DSP based algorithms for embedded audio systems
• Work with and particpate in research activities together with research team members on the implementation of speech/hearing algorithms
• Collaborate with Sales/Engineering teams in productization, verification, testing and patent application of newly developed algorithms
• Perfom Design and Code reviews with members of the development team
• Perform Defect Analysis and remove defects on developed solutions
• Adhere to software development process defined for the develpment team
• Enhance or update existing software algorithms as required or effective algorithm function improvements
• Writing effective code, making it more streamlines & readable
• Work well with company's partners and vendors

Job Requirements:

• Minimum with a Degree in Engineering with exposure to Signal processing applications
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded real-time firmware development with emphasis on computaional complexity
• Prior experience in DSP development and implementation with an emphasis on audio implementations is preferred
• Proficient in C/C++, Shell scripting
