ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

In anticipation of future bids and projects in Defence and Public Security sectors, Engineering Department requires system engineers who has a track record of building, deploying and maintaining the IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Domain knowledge in enterprise data networks and/or cybersecurity is desirable.

The System Engineer is to assist with IT infrastructure solutions according to project requirements and drive transformation for internal/external customers by adopting established platforms. The candidate will be involved with the requirements gathering, preparation of proposals, and conduct of presentations to customers or system owners. KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Infrastructure System Engineer, you are accountable for:

· Assist project or team leads in evaluating and recommending the appropriate IT infrastructure products (commercial or open source) that will meet project or customer requirements

· Take charge or support the deployment of said products, including integration and testing activities at the System-as-a-whole level

We are an electrical consultancy company dealing with consultancy, design, licensing, vetting of design, inspection of electrical installation works, including high voltage electrical installation, lightning protection system, general lighting and power system for industrial, commercial, residential electrical installations. We have professional electrical engineer and licensed electrical engineer to provide guideances for new staff. We are looking for applicants who graduate in electrical engineering from ITE, Polytechnics, University, with or without experiences. Starting salary will be $2,000 to $5,000 per month depening on paper qualifications and year of experiences. We offer 5 days' work per week. We are looking for Service Engineer (PLC) to make an impact!

The Role:

As a Services Engineer, you will work within the Services operations team in Singapore and you will be responsible to support any job assign to you to ensure customer satisfaction with Schneider products and its services.

What will you do?

• Perform field service (customer site service) activities involving the installation supervision, commissioning, maintaining, modification, onsite training, system upgrade and repair of Schneider PLC.
• Responsible for a region or subgroup of field services.
• Performs installation supervision and commissioning of Schneider products including day to day service of the same.
• Performs maintenance for Schneider PLC.
• Trains customers on equipment operation and maintenance of Schneider PLC Product.
• Represents Schneider dealing with customer concerns.
• Responsible for identifying and reporting failure modes encountered when in the field. Also responsible for determining the cause of these failures.
• Solve Site problems at customers site and provides reports on these issues.
• Providing 24hrs telephone support for customers.
• Acquisition of Customer Service products.
• Support internal for spare parts warranty, preparation and assembly.
• Improve on site report and process.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Min Diploma / Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Min 3-5 yrs exp. in Oil & Gas sector, Power Generation, Petrochemical technical experience is an added advantage.
• Has experience and skilled in PLC. Technical knowledge of MV and LV equipment will be an added advantage.
• Willing to travel up to 80% within Region.
• Has teamwork and is customer oriented.
• Has good time management and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Ability to interface with all functional areas of the company.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Power Point.

As the IT Operations Engineer for this project, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the operational aspects of our systems deployed in the government's commercial cloud environment. This position requires technical expertise in cloud technologies, and a good understanding of government regulations and compliance standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based systems while adhering to strict government guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of our government's cloud infrastructure on the Commercial Cloud (GCC) platform.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud services to meet the needs of government agencies.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud resources to support critical government operations.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect government data and systems on GCC.
• Stay updated on government regulations, compliance standards, and security protocols relevant to cloud computing.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments with vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with government procurement policies and procedures.
• Provide support for any system security review and audit activities and implement follow-up actions recommended by auditors/consultants to maintain and enhance the security of the systems.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor and manage capacity utilisation and performance of Cloud compute resources, virtual appliances and services to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance overall system performance.
• Proactively address issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

Vendor Management:

• Liaise with cloud service provider and vendors to manage service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor relationships.
• Work with vendors to assess, plan, co-ordinate and implement the appropriate technology changes, updates and refresh when products are reaching end-of-life.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in managing IT operations for cloud environment.
• Proven experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure, preferably in a government or regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Good knowledge of government regulations, compliance standards (e.g. ICT&SS Management, Digital Service Standards), and security frameworks.
• Experience working with teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Additional Information:

This position may require security clearance and adherence to strict confidentiality protocols due to the sensitive nature of government data and operations. Flexibility in working hours and occasional travel may be required to support system maintenance, upgrades, or emergencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting L2 support and response on application incidents.
• Log, escalate and follow through with issues, ensuring that issues are resolved.
• Review and improve our incident management process.
• Periodic reviews and submission of the capacity needs of the business.
• Support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.
• Deploy new versions of the software.
• Generate reports on the operational workloads, review capacity needs of the business, support and/or drive disaster recovery response drills.

Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related discipline.
• 2-5 years of Technical/Application Support experience on various technology platforms.
• Knowledge in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or working with SRE team is a plus.
• Knowledge in scripting (Python/SQL/Bash) is a plus.
• Responsible and proactive approach to resolving problems, and have a structured approach to problem-solving.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 10 to 12 years’ relevant experience in Buildings Mechanical Design and commissioning of M&E systems in modern commercial and industrial buildings. Data Centre Experience will be preferred.
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead project team members on technical delivery. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Sufficient experience to demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
• Organised approach and ability to accept increased responsibility and produce accurate and detailed work.
• High level of computer literacy and exposure to BIM / Revit will be highly desired, with advanced problem-solving skills through investigation and analysis.
