Scope of Work:

The fundamental purpose of occupational therapy is to develop and maintain a person's capacity, throughout life, to perform day-to-day tasks and roles essential to productive living, including self- care, daily living, leisure and work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assesses residents' existing functional capabilities and future potential, determines range of upper limb movement, ability to transfer, balance, strength and coordination, endurance, ability to cope with the activities of daily living, cognitive perceptual functions, behavior and social skills
• Provides occupational therapy procedures that includes:
• Training In the improvement of ADL skills
• Exercises, hand/eye coordination and graded activities to improve strength and range of motion and increase dexterity in the upper limbs
• Training in works simplification techniques
• Prescription and fabrication of assisted/adaptive devices/splints to restore/increase function and train residents to use the devices
• Cognitive and perceptual re-training using sensory stimulation techniques
• Behavior management/social skills training
• Reality orientation/reminiscence therapy
• Evaluates the accessibility and the environmental barriers within the nursing home and the residents' homes (for those who can be discharge) and recommends modification needs for the residents greater independence

Key Responsibilities

• To perform skin, body and/or hair analysis to customers

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage patient's needs and care within the clinic, manage other staff and directly report to the director.
• Treating clients through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience.
• Professional at perceiving client needs through spoken language, body language and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly.
• Report to the owner or manager of the business.
• Provide 30-60 minute massages to clients by appointment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Relevant education certification of massage therapists
• Experience working in a spa preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Time management abilities
• Demonstrated sales and customer service skills

• Perform occupational therapy services to patients for their optimal recovery and you will also be part of educating their caregivers about patient’s condition and care.
• Support the Rehabilitation Department in administration, clinical supervision, research supervision, professional education and training.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide patients with a seamless delivery of care.

Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
• At least 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
