We are now looking for a CTRM Consultant to implement our software for new clients.

A client facing role in the oil & commodity trading industry. Expect an exciting and dynamic work environment in a niche industry. Applicants must be comfortable with overseas travel.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement CoreTRM successfully for clients
• Understand and document client requirements
• Identify any gaps and determine appropriate solutions
• Extend the core product using the data model and the scripting extensions
• Design and configure interfaces to other applications
• Facilitate and ensure user acceptance
• Carry out training for end-users
• Raise change requests for platform enhancements
• Liaise with CoreTRM product developers to design and test enhancements
• Follow CoreTRM standards, procedures and policies
• Provide ongoing support to clients when required
• Any other ad-hoc duties when required
• Travel to or based at client sites locally or overseas when required

NOTE: This is not an IT (Information Technology) role - this is a CLIENT FACING role that requires consultants to have the relevant business knowledge, speak to clients, understand their business requirements, and work with internal counterparties (Services/IT team if development work is required) to customise our platform to suit clients' requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with the development team in the architecture, design, development, code review, testing, and maintenance of CoreTRM, including improving the end user experience
• Maintain and improve the code quality
• Design and implement scalable applications and services with continuous integration and deployment using the cloud
• Work on new features and enhancements
• Help the support centre when needed to resolve complex support issues
• Liaise closely with the implementation team on development issues related to the roll-out of the CoreTRM product, as well as any new client requests/improvements of the product

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of coding experience
• Able to do coding in C#
• Knowledge of other technologies including REST API, JSON, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript & relational databases such as Sql Server is useful but not compulsory
• Ability to write efficient and maintainable code
• Knowledge of the oil or commodities trading industry is not compulsory

Risk Management Department (Asia-Pacific Office) is an overseas office of the Risk Management Department of Mizuho Bank Ltd. (MHBK) Head Office and responsible for managing Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk and Non-financial Risk for Singapore and offices across Asia-Pacific region. The Credit Risk Management focuses on the risk that the bank might suffer a loss due to a reduction in or complete elimination of the value of assets caused by the deterioration of the financial status of a customer to whom credit has been extended. The Market Risk Management focuses on the risk that the bank might suffer a loss due to a change in the value of assets and liabilities held caused by changes in market risk factors, such as interest rates, securities prices and foreign-exchange rates. The Liquidity Risk Management focuses on the risk that the bank might be unable to secure the necessary funding due to deteriorating financial condition or similar reason. The Non-financial Risk management focuses on the risk of the bank incurring losses resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events.

We now have an opportunity for a highly experienced professional who is capable of leading the credit, market, liquidity and non-financial risk teams in Singapore and regional offices.

Your key roles & responsibilities include:

• Provide overall leadership and management for risk management in Singapore and other offices across Asia-Pacific region.
• Close and proactive communication with relevant offices and timely escalation to higher management and HO.
• Assume responsibility for the credit, market, liquidity and non-financial risk management function of all activities including methodology research, reviewing & enhancement of risk monitoring framework, improvement of work efficiency, reporting function, new products handling and audit & inspection.
• Negotiate and coordinate with all necessary HO departments such as Risk Management, Financial Accounting, Compliance, Internal Audit, etc.(Japanese language skill is required)
• Give appropriate instructions to regional offices in order to comply with HO rules.
• To capture regional offices' risk profile and give necessary & appropriate advise from viewpoint of credit, market, liquidity and non-financial risk management in order to optimize the risk & profit as a bank.
• Develop staff to bottom up team capability in this region

The applicant is expected to have the ability to perform the roles and responsibilities immediately upon joining the Bank.

What you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• At least 20 years of relevant experience in a corporate or commercial banking environment.
• Credit, Market, liquidity and non-financial risk knowledge and more than 10 years of experience in actual business.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Wide knowledge of financial products and ability to understand pricing models and risk models.
• Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese languages, as the incumbent will liaise with colleagues in Tokyo Head Office, other offices across Asia-Pacific region. In particular, close communication with Tokyo Head Office in Japanese is strongly required.
