Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting in managing kitchen inventory, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and stock levels are maintained. This includes ordering supplies and understanding the cost-effectiveness of stock.
• Observing and learning the standards for food preparation and presentation, which are crucial for customer satisfaction.
• Helping with the supervision and organization of kitchen staff. This may include dishwashers, prep cooks, line cooks, and sous chefs.
• Learning about the company’s culture, values, and organizational structure.
• Familiarizing oneself with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and kitchen hygiene protocols to ensure the kitchen complies with health department standards.
• Learning to manage costs related to food production, waste reduction, and budgeting. The trainee may be involved in tracking expenses and looking for ways to improve efficiency.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store at all times
