LOGISTICS PROJECT ENGINEER

Our client is one of the leaders in the logistics industry, specialized in machinery moving operations. The company is currently hiring an Executive with project-handling and safety coordinator experiences.

The incumbent will work closely with the Project Manager, warehouse and transportation domains.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Project Manager in managing and executing projects to meet contractual obligations and to ensure job orders are executed to the best interest of the company.

- Assist the Project Manager at site work coordination and execution.

- Recommend and implement measures to ensure workplace safety.

- Prepare and review risk assessment and safe work procedure.

- Ensure scheduled milestones of projects are met in timely order.

- Coordinate efforts amongst internal departments and ensure effective delivery of work flow.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of job orders to the management.

- Ensure all project documentation is complete in line with contractual requirements.

- Liaise with the operations team on manpower and equipment planning.

- Handle and manage customers’ queries and reviews.

- Identify and troubleshoot when issues arise.

- Build up close customer relationships.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Possess a certificate in Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience, preferably in the logistics or supplies chain industry
• Experience in supervisory and management of projects, people, work processes
• Outdoor work is required

Proficient in Microsoft Office suites including MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point and Auto-Cad

• Effective verbal and written communications
• Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers
• Team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision
• Having a Class 3 driving license will be an advantage

Responsible for the establishment of a functional Healthcare Industry Vertical organization within South Asia Ocean setting up and implement a regional Healthcare strategy that will lead to business growth in close cooperation with the Business Units.

Responsibilities

• Create Yusen South Asia Ocean Healthcare development strategy, with alignment to Yusen’s Global Healthcare strategy, and Yusen Global Headquarter product development direction with the end result to grow the Healthcare Sales Revenue within SAO
• Coach and support the sales teams in the countries on the Healthcare sales approach and collaborate with the countries to ensure pan regional opportunities are approached holistically as a global/regional customer would expect, without any natural silo considerations.
• Ensure a strong collaboration with the Global and Regional Healthcare Quality Team with the focus on growing the GDP footprint within South Asia Ocean
• Develop and implement fit for purpose Healthcare products together with the regional BU’s
• Support the Global Key Account Directors and the Strategic Key Account lead to reach their targeted budget within South Asia Ocean

Requirements & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business management, logistics and supply chain management or related.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics; 5+ years of experience in management and 5+ years in pharmaceutical logistics
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills; Ability to work on holistic solutions and translate them into business solutions; Have the ability to communicate internally and externally at a variety of levels up to Board level
