Responsibilities for Export Operations Officer

Export Responsibilities

• Receive Customers’ Shipment Orders from the Customer Service Unit for the processing of Shipments to various Destinations.
• Ensure shipment details (ie, pieces, weight, dimensions, commodity, rate) are typed correctly onto the Airwaybill / Housewayill.
• Ensure Shipment(s) is correctly identified based on the Customer’s Shipping Documents (Invoice / Packing List) before affixing the Cargo Label(s) onto the Carton(s).
• Co-ordinate closely with the Service Provider to ensure Shipments are transferred to / lodged-in to the Cargo Terminals of the respective Airlines before the Departure Time(s)

• Provide updates to the Customer Service Unit on Shipments that were offloaded / rejected by the Airline(s) due to certain Non-Compliance

Import Responsibilities

• Receive Customers’ Shipment Orders from the Customer Service Unit for the processing of Shipments for Delivery to the various Customers’ premises.
• Check on the Status (ie, arrived complete, arrived partially, arrived damaged, arrived but still not cleared, arrived but unlocated in the Cargo Terminal, etc) and update the Customer Service Unit accordingly
• Inform and co-ordinate with the respective Airlines, Cargo Terminal Operators, Overseas Agents and Departments on the Shipments that cannot be delivered due to certain Discrepancies.
• Ensure Shipment Clearance and Delivery Requirements are adhered to / complied with as per the Customers’ requirements.
• Ensure the Complete and Correct Shipment Documents for the various Shipments are handed over to the Transportation Service Provider for delivery to the various Customers.
• Provide Proof Of Delivery (POD) updates to the Customers, Departments, Overseas Agents.

Job Description:

• Promote sales of the Company’s Supply Chain & Logistics contract solutions.
• Develop and implement effective business development strategies to expand our contract logistics and warehousing services.
• Responsible for expanding and servicing the clients’ portfolio by identifying new opportunities and target markets.
• Identify potential clients, establish long-term relationships, and nurture partnerships to drive sustained business growth.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop customized warehousing and logistics solutions that meet specific client needs.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings, identifying new opportunities to position us as a preferred logistics partner.
• Deliver on sales and revenue goals to contribute to overall business growth.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics industry or related discipline.
• No experienced is welcomed
• Working experience in the Supply Chain & Logistics industry will be an advantage;
• Possess good interpersonal, and time management, and the ability to work under tight timeline;
• Proficient in Chinese to handle queries and complaints from Chinese speaking customers;
• Familiar with SCM logistics and related knowledge.
• Salary will be commensurate according to experience

Job Scope

• Delivering loose cargo from one point to another
• Internal Shifting of cargo
• Liaising with and assisting customers further
• Drive Trailer Truck and proper lashing of belts

Job Requirement

• 6 days work week
• Class 4/5 Driving License
• Related experience will be preferred
• No education requirement
• Can start work immediately

• AT LEAST 2 TO 3 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN FREIGHT FORWARDING COMPANY.
• HANDLE FULL SPECTRUM OF SHIPPING DOCUMENTS.
• IDENTIFY AND PURSUE NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES WITH POTENTIAL NEW AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS.
• ENGAGE OPERATIONAL SUBJECT ON A DAILY BASIS.
• ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH LOCAL AND OVERSEAS AGENTS.
• PLEASANT PERSONALITY.
• 5 1/2 DAYS WEEK.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinating and liaising closely with Customers, Airlines, Cargo Terminal Operators, Departments, Overseas Agents / Offices and Service Providers on Shipments.
• Action promptly on Customers’ shipment arrangements and requirements.
• Perform checks and monitoring to ensure shipment arrives at its arranged destination(s) within the required timeline(s).
• Administer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and / or Service Reports according to Customer’s shipment processes and requirements.
• Ensure Customer’s shipment handling requirements are kept up to date.
• Attend to Customers’ enquiries on Shipment movements and / or processes.
• Provide correct and timely updates on the status of Shipment(s) to the Customers.
• Proactively seek alternative solutions or value-add to processes to enhance and improve the ongoing services for / to the Customers.
• Work together with Other related Parties (ie, Airlines, Cargo Terminal Operators, Overseas Agents, Service Providers, etc) on resolving problems that may arise during the shipment processes so as to prevent any possible recurrent problem(s).
• Constantly look into improving the section’s operational processes and system through computerisation.

Requirements:

• GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level, NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma holders
• PC literate with good work skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Customer oriented with positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Added advantage would be for those who possess airfreight forwarding experience and are able to start work within short notice
• Training will be provided on the work processes in the section and department
• Office location at Changi Airfreight Centre (near Changi beach)
• Accessible by Bus nos. 9 (from Bedok), 19 (from Tampines), 89 (from Hougang)
