Regional Logistics Leader, Asia Pacific

Overview: The Regional Logistics Lead, Asia Pacific will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies, policies, and processes to optimize supply chain efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management, supporting the demands of a rapidly growing business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers and customers.
- Develop and implement logistics best practices, policies, and processes to improve both operational and financial performance across the organization.
- Collaborate with regional entities to drive cost optimization by recommending optimal transport modes, routes, and frequencies for logistics initiatives.
- Address logistics challenges while maintaining high quality, service levels, and staying within budgetary constraints.
- Analyze logistics data, track performance metrics, and report on the impact of changes in routing, shipping modes, or carriers to improve customer service and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in a comprehensive supply chain role, including procurement and logistics management within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong regional logistics experience is essential; experience in direct procurement is preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial agreements and regional logistics management.
- Independent, strong analysis skills and strong team player.
Value Add Skills:
- Experience in managing regional or global projects, such as streamlining or transformation initiatives, cost savings or automation.
- Proficient in applying Kaizen or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or relevant software/systems.
