The Role of Logistics Specialist englobes a person who has sound SAP knowledge and operational experience, that will assist APAC with sourcing, logistics, supply administration, issuing and receiving goods for iTero products within the region; towards achieving operational goals for the iTero business.

In this role, you will…

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage freight and logistics partners’ performance for shipping, warehousing and domestic distribution.
• Coordinate RMA return and coordination with local markets in order to maintain service pool in healthy state.
• Resolve shipping and distribution related issues (with internal and external logistics partners) and feedbacks with systematic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Actions - Preventive Actions (CAPA) Plan
• Enforce strong inventory control and distribution management in SAP system
• Understand and able to navigate through diverse logistical landscape within APAC region
• Oversee SAP’s Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Source-to-Settle (STS) processes, covering system inventory control and distribution management, completing daily tasks to assure updates inventory as needed. In addition, aligning with business partners in other hubs (ANZ, JP and HK) to assure strong collaboration.
• Support and align with Global and Regional projects relating to Systems Roll-out, Go-To-Market Strategy, Regulatory Compliance, etc.
• Communicate all shipment issues to owners and intended recipients.
• Assure and follow up on-time delivery of materials
• Maintain relationship with business partners and vendors
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Report all unsafe activities to Manager and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• BA/BS degree in Business Management, Logistics, Material Planning or Supply Chain or equivalent practical experience
• 5 - 6 years of experience in the logistics industry or in a similar role managing logistics service providers
• Strong knowledge and hands-on of SAP system is essential.
• Basic understanding of supply chain processes including material planning, shipping, importation, and contract logistics.
• Depth knowledge and handling of Excel
• Strong critical thinking, analytical and decision making skills.
• Fluent in English is required to converse with multiple markets across the region

Core Responsibilities

• The incumbent will drive continuous improvement to optimize the End to End Supply Chain till goods are received by our customers. The geographic scope is to serve our Korea and SMTR (SG-MY-Travel Retail) business units and will be based in Singapore.
• The role of a Customer Logistics Manager adds new value by improving overall service to customers, while balancing trade-offs/efficiencies on cash and cost. Key deliverables include:

a) to identify and deliver projects/initiatives in partnership with our customers that enable sales, improve service, cost, cash, and sustainability goals

b) to meet (or exceed) target service score versus annual Customer Pulse

c) to support new customer on-boarding including set up of logistics terms

• To build knowledge and provide visibility of the market retail landscape, customer requirements, including the critical metrics important to win our customers.
• To establish collaborative partnerships and strong collaborator management (internal and external) to drive value creation initiatives. The incumbent is expected to work independently liaising internally with Sales, Operations, and external customers in the market (and in the regional market group where appropriate).
• To drive regional supply chain projects/initiatives for Supply Chain Operations (SCO) that drives scale and efficiencies in serving our customers and different channels in APAC CN.

Do you have what it takes?

• Validated experience working in CPG/ FMCG/Toy/Luxury/Sports & Apparel industry
• Demonstrates good understanding of E2E supply chain operations from factory to customer shelves
• Proven track-record in proactively driving outcomes, team collaboration, communicating effectively with collaborators, and influencing skills
• Demonstrated examples in leading continuous improvement projects, good knowledge on logistics cost drivers, and experienced in managing trade-offs within the value chain
• Experienced in project management and exposed to managing a diverse set of collaborator groups
• Ability to work with a remote functional team and ability to thrive in a diverse, multi-cultural organization sitting across different geographies, cultures, and time zones
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and take judgment calls
• Proficiency in Korean language will be needed in the role to support the KR business
• Previous working experience in Toy industry or functional experience working for Sales, Customer Service, and/or Customer Development work
• Previous experience using SAP and other advanced features/tools from Microsoft like power BI
• Experience in Agile project management methodology will be valuable
• Multi-lingual skills (English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese) will be a big plus

ROLE PURPOSE (Why do we need this role?)

To attend to all purchasing requests promptly with the best price in order to provide operational and technical purchasing support to vessels and/or logistical support to 3rd party clients.

Operations Purchasing

• Deal with assigned vessels on a daily basis and liaising with accounts, purchasing, Technical and other relevant departments on operational requirements.Contact and follow up with vendors/contractors on quotations and issue purchase orders in ORBIS/SAP/In-house apps for services.
• Track TDW vessels shipments in/out of warehouse and coordinate with forwarding agents and transport companies for shipments delivery to shipyards/ jetty for vessels.
• Liaise with agents.
• Gather feedback from vessels on vendor’s performance and the quality of goods supplied.
• Check and verify invoices for spares/stores and services against Orbis/SAP/in-house app prior to submission to the Operations Manager for approval.
• Respond, prioritise and action as appropriate on urgent issues, phone calls and emails from the vessels and charterers.

General Warehouse Management

• Ensure that safe work practices, site safety rules, particularly regarding the use and operation of warehouse handling and lifting equipment, manual handling and equipment storage and protection and all Standard Operating procedures are strictly adhered to at all times in warehouse activities.
• Report on any non-conformance in warehouse operations, ensure corrective actions are taken and, where applicable, introduce into warehouse standard operating procedures.
• Ensure that correct working locations, from receipt through consolidation, shipping and storage, including floor, rack and bay loadings are developed, maintained and strictly adhered to in all warehouse activities.
• Maintain records and schedules for all required inspections and certifications on the facility’s operating equipment, forklifts and other lifting equipment, safety equipment, etc. and promptly remedy any issues arising during inspections.
• Perform condition maintenance on long-term storage materials as required.
• Perform routine facility and equipment housekeeping duties.

Other Duties

• Assist the General Manager/Technical Superintendents with administrative work when required.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time including follow-up on service request details.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience, OR 7 years of relevant experience.
• Adapt to a fast-moving environment and work against a short lead time.
• Work as an individual contributor and team player when required.
• Experience in an offshore marine environment would be an advantage.
• Experience with vendor management, negotiation and contracts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Define the service offerings/shipping options portfolio to better serve eCommerce platforms and online sellers, based on deep understanding of Express Industry market dynamics and competitive landscape in Southeast Aisa.

• Lead the process from ideation to implementation of service offering/shipping options, design the roadmaps and drive cross functional collaboration to implement new offerings with a focus on service level and cost control.

• Monitor service offering performance to ensure customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, >3 years of relevant work experience in a well-established 3PL (Express Industry) focusing on service offerings/shipping options design and implementation; experience in consulting, well established eCommerce or Internet company is a plus.

• Good knowledge and understanding of Express industry and practices in Southeast Asia, able to efficiently navigate cross functional topics to define service offerings/shipping options through customer needs deep dive, competitor benchmarking, and internal capability analysis.

• Dual language proficiency in English and Chinese (or another commonly used language in Southeast Asia) is a strong plus.

• Strong communication and organizational skills; proven experience in project management and high tolerance to ambiguity; highly energetic and independent to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
