RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle inbound, outbound and transhipment and prepares invoices, documents related to the plant served.
• Manage & Update internal database of price lists to ensure the accuracy of prices/products and terms
• Liaise and coordinate with overseas vendors/customers, freight forwarders, carriers on delivery date and pick-ups
• Monitor and follow-up with suppliers/customers to ensure on-time and accurate shipping document submission
• Propose cost-effective and efficient solutions

Job Description:

Warehousing and Logistics operations:

- Coordination with Sales and Engineering departments on status of incoming collections from /outgoing deliveries to customers;

- Assist in packing for local deliveries and overseas shipments;

- Unpacking and timely intakes of incoming units

- Photo-taking of incoming and outgoing equipment and boxes for both local and overseas deliveries

- Packing and labelling of outgoing units

- Preparation of documents for overseas shipments

- Packing for test equipment calibration

- Update and maintain all relevant shipping documents in an organized manner

- Prompt upload of documents in ERP system

Purchasing function:

- Sourcing and procurement of parts and materials

- Continual monitoring of parts status/quantities

- Issuance of Purchase Orders

- Data entry in ERP system on Parts Issuance

Stockcounts and Stock audits:

- Internal stockcount on quarterly and annual basis; Cycle counts on periodic basis

- External stockcount at customer’s site as and when required

- Generation of inventory reports – monthly, quarterly and year-end

General matters:

- Good organization and proper upkeep of Parts room and Warehouse Area

- Ensure cleanliness of warehouse premises

Job Description

1-1. Overall Operations Supervision

- Supervise overall warehouse operations including SG local transportation from/to company’s warehouse(s)

- Establish and monitor the basic practice and implementation such as MHE pre-inspection, daily-walk-about in the respective work environment with the support from section leads below SLM

- Supervise and monitor WSH monthly reports and take a lead to close any negative findings.

- Receive an external or/and internal escalation upon any deviation or potential risk of deviation from the set KPIs.

- Provide the respective section leads with the relevant guidance and direction whereby how to adjust, correct, or upgrade daily operations.

1-2. Overall Operations Projects Supervision

- Delegate the respective tasks to the respective section leads by determining a schedule.

- Monitor the completion of respective project tasks.

- Receive any escalation from the section leads upon any potential delay or obstacles.

- Provide the respective section leads with the relevant advice and guidance for their clear understanding. - Schedule and arrange any internal session for internal alignments in case of any potential issues, especially the severe ones.

- Properly and timely escalate the potential risks to the direct superior.

1-3. Operations Resource Planning

- Come up with operations manpower resource planning.

- Conduct recruitment interviews in case of additional manpower resources to bring into the operations team.

- Exercise any warning session(s) or termination session(s) related to the respective section leads

1-4. Warehouse P/L Control

- Analyse monthly department P/L starting from sales revenue, direct cost, indirect cost up to gross profit with the direct superior.

- Come up with some proposals to improve our sales or/and cost for further discussion and finalisation with the direct superior.

3. Mandatory Requirements

- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a managerial position in 3PLWarehouse operations environment.

- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environments

- Mature, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

- Ability to motivate & manage a dynamic service-oriented organization.

- Ability to support change in a fast-moving environments & coach organization

- Ability to use the technical skill, process discipline to build & develop service deliverables & capabilities.

Dow has an opening for Logistics Specialist based in Singapore taking care of the Vendor Management of Logistics Service Providers of Road Transportation & Warehouse mainly for Singapore and Malaysia. The main responsibilities are listed as below:

Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party logistics vendor (3PL, external – warehouse or transporter) in Singapore/Malaysia to achieve operation excellence and targets for Dow
• Lead and participate in advanced troubleshooting for systems, processes and order fulfillment  
• Provide coaching and leadership to stakeholders and 3PL on project implementations and best practices
• Interact with other Dow (global) regions to resolve order issues for inter-area shipments
• Implement and apply most effective technologies and operating discipline requirements with stakeholders and 3PL 
• Manage 3PL to ensure contractual obligations and service levels are met
• Develop and initiate changes to SOP (operating procedures) to ensure that they are valid and up-to-date
• Conduct regular audit and performance review on 3PL sites and processes  
• Understand and apply new concepts, innovations and technologies to operations and 3PL within assigned business scopes 
• Lead and ensure timely closure to complaint investigations, with identification of CAPA (Corrective and Preventative measures)
• Lead and conduct RCI (Root Cause Investigation) with 3PL and stakeholders to resolve product and/or service quality issues
• Support procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise
• Valid invoice from 3PL to ensure Dow pay logistics venders rightly
• Support and implement ESG (Environment, Social Responsibility, Governance) and Sustainability initiatives with suppliers and 3PL 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in supply chain or logistics area or chemical related major or engineering
• Has experience related to logistics operations/supply chain and technical knowhows, 1-5 years of working experience in logistics/supply chain
• Vendor Management, Logical Thinking and Problem Solving Skill and Open Mind for new technology and changes
• Capability to working in purely English environment

Preferred Skills

• Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) is a plus
• 3PL working experience is a plus

Job specification:

• Minimum Diploma (General)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and create/increase gross profit.
• Perform telemarketing and visit both potential and existing customers to increase sales and built rapport for customer retention. Arrange local sales campaigns for visiting overseas partners/ agents.
