Will oversee forecasting, predict the demand for products, and ensure delivery to meet Customer satisfaction without having an overall surplus of inventories. Work in conjunction with the Production Planning Control and Inventory (PPIC) team to formulate production planning for plant utilization and maximization to meet the budget. Will develop and execute demand planning and inventory positions that support and meet sales targets. This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, monitoring and evaluating sales and marketing data to effectively estimate product demands and production capabilities.

Duties include:

• Planning Supply and Demand in conjunction with Production Planning to achieve maximum plant utilization/optimization and meet the budget.
• Generate forecasting solutions from Sales – marketing for production to maintain a healthy inventory flow, reduce liabilities, and maintain a healthy net working capital to support SCPL global organization’s operations.
• Management and analysis to maximize production and storage capability.
• Be part of the Production Planning Inventory Control (PPIC) team to formulate rolling production plans and forecasts.
• Identify and formulate cost-effectiveness of using different raw and intermediate materials for production to generate the desired finished goods.

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the process of getting to the demand plan by generating insights from different sources of data and input from different stakeholders.
• Develop demand (operational) rolling forecasts at multiple levels of production processes as part of a demand and supply planning function.
• Review historical sales trends, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Provide input to the Raw and Intermediate Materials purchasing to Production Planning teams to develop production and inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Participate in regular planning meetings with counterparts in Singapore, Indonesia, and Europe to
• assess the supply and demand of finished products to meet sales-marketing Objectives.
• Prepare and circulate daily sales and shipment status reports to the Commercial team.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirements:

• A Degree in Chemical Engineering or Supply Chain Management specializing in Supply and Demand Planning. Candidates from other Engineering disciplines are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum of 3 years working experience as a SCM Supply and Demand Planner is preferable.
• Supply and Demand experience, knowledge of shipping, and warehousing in a chemical production environment is an advantage.
• Experience in oleochemicals will be an added advantage.
• Possess strong leadership and a team player.
• Time management capabilities.
• Required frequent travel to Indonesia plant.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for a junior position.
