An opportunity is now available for a career-minded individual to join us in MSC South East Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd, as Trade Manager, Export.
RESPONSIBILITIES

As Trade Manager, Export, you are responsible for developing, maintaining and expanding MSC's customer base in Singapore by promoting MSC's services as a brand, executing MSC's business plans, providing strong customer service to clients, as well as administering Southeast Asia's daily booking prospects.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your main responsibilities are to increase MSC's market presence by canvasing cargoes for all trades lanes to achieve budgeted lifting. Besides maintaining current clientele base and increasing MSC market presence, responsibilities include all nominations, forecasting and allocations, as well as be responsive to ensure immediate coordination on rate requests and approvals between sales team and GVA Liner desk. Your key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for trade in space management and rate filing with Geneva Line managers, and market benchmarking.
- Responsible for balance of OCA/DCA/Global Tender / VIP account fulfilment
- Coordinate and execute liner strategy and business plan.
- Responsible for respective trade's week/monthly/yearly budget fulfilment.
- Maintain current clientele and increase MSC market presence;
- Responsible for all nominations / forecasting / allocation;
- Achieve close level of support with top clients through daily contact.
- Promote myMSC eCommerce system to customers for online booking, cargo tracking and other related activities, including instant quote.
- Monitor cargo booking on daily basis to ensure allocation are met for your assigned trade;
- Ensure all rates under the final booking list are fill accurately, completely, and timely in TMS.
- Manage all FOB activities include liaising with POD agent on weekly prospect, space utilization and availability;
- Cargo selection to ensure balance of high / low paying cargo for respective trades daily according to Geneva business plan;
- Timely weekly sales and market reports submission to Geneva.
- Maintain high accuracy of rates filing internally and externally (with respective authorities).
QUALIFICATIONS
Who We Are Looking For
- Minimum Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in service-related industry
- Strong MS Office software application, including Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong written & spoken English Skill
- Good Communication and Interpersonal skill
- Self -driven with the passion to deal with people
- Able to work independently
- Meticulous with eye for details
- Adaptable to changes and requirements
