The Role:

We are looking for an in-house jewellery designer. You will be working directly with the customers and to create bespoke designs. This role is multi-faceted and you would be also operating as a sales executive when clients are in the boutique. When you are with clients, you are expected to provide them with product knowledge and effectively sell both the brand and product. Responsibilities

• User Interface Design: Develop user interfaces for websites, applications, and digital platforms with a strong emphasis on usability, accessibility, and visual appeal.
• Graphic Design, Colour, and Typography: Create graphics, icons, illustrations, and visual elements that align with the overall design concept and branding guidelines, selecting appropriate colour palettes and typography to enhance readability and visual hierarchy.
• Layout and Responsive Design: Arrange elements on screens or pages to achieve a balanced and harmonious composition, ensuring a clear and logical flow. Design interfaces that adapt seamlessly across different screen sizes and devices for consistent user experience.
• Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop low-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts before final implementation.
• User Experience (UX) Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers and researchers to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points, informing the design process.
• Style Guides and Design Systems: Create and maintain style guides or design systems that provide consistent guidelines for design elements, interactions, and brand identity.
• Usability Testing: Conduct or participate in usability testing to gather feedback and insights on design effectiveness, iterating designs as needed.
• Accessibility: Ensure designs are accessible to users with disabilities, following guidelines and best practices.
• Iterative Design: Use an iterative approach, refining and evolving designs based on user feedback and testing.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Visual/UI/Web Designer.
• Degree or Diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in graphic design principles, including layout, composition, colour theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
• Strong portfolio showcasing visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites, applications, and digital products.
• Advanced knowledge of design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, or other industry-standard tools.
• Understanding of web and mobile technologies and their impact on design solutions.
• Experience with Agile co-development processes and ICT professional services is advantageous.
• Knowledge of front-end development/web development technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design is an added advantage.
