Understand creative direction set by the Design Director/Client and translate it into innovative conceptual designTo plan and propose inspiration interior design ideas/solutions, design developments and space planning to meet clients’ needs
To work closely with Draughtsman and 3D visualise to translate conceptualise design ideas into drawings.
Present 3D perspective drawings to client, and pitch your design decisions.
To prepare AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, detailed construction and As-Built Drawings, high quality 3D perspective drawings
Manage design briefs within the constraints of cost and time
Work within stipulated timelines
Responsible for timely delivery of services and solutions with professionalism and quality at all times
To work closely with project team, suppliers, sub-contractors and clients during construction/implementation phase
Coordinate submission of documents to clients and relevant authorities

Key Responsibilities:

· Client Engagements: Engage with potential clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and renovation requirements in detail. Maintain clear and open communication with clients throughout the project, collaborate with professionals, and resolve any design issues or conflicts that arise.

· Presentation Skills: Prepare and present proposed design concepts, space planning, materials recommendations and tailored solutions using layout plans, 3D renderings to effectively present ideas to clients.

· Design Planning: Create bespoke interior design concepts by using mood boards, colour palettes, and material samples, while considering functionality, ergonomics, and space flow when planning layouts to present to clients.

· Budget Management: Provide cost estimates to clients, track expenses throughout the project, and make adjustments to the design plan as needed to stay within budget constraints.

· Project Management: Oversee the design project from concept to completion, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure it aligns with the design plan, while managing timelines and keeping the project within budget.

· Site Visits and Inspection: Conduct site visits to ensure proper implementation of the design plan, inspect the work for quality and compliance with design specifications, and make any necessary adjustments or corrections on-site.

· Industry Insight: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technology, attend trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars related to interior design, and continuously improve design skills and knowledge.

The Technical Designer is part of the design team from the beginning and assists in making sure the design intent from concept is carried out in the detailing stage. He/She will be supporting the designer in selection of materials and systems,further the design resolution of details, specification reviews and/or writing, local building code compliance and analysis of the same in the International Building Code as requested by the project/client/operator; ultimately responsibility is in the quality control review of project documents. The Technical Designer supports the preparation of detailed drawings and tender documents. The position has experience in design development, architectural CAD and Revit documentation and drafting, and detailing. The Technical Designer is highly organized and collaborative and contributes to project design and delivery, and client care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assures efficient preparation of detailed drawings through schematic design and design development to tender documentation phase on assigned projects
• Interprets verbal and written directions from project leaders, coordination discussion with other consultants into professionally completed documents or products
• Completes working drawings, design sketches, presentation drawings, shop drawings, diagrams, schedules, and other computer-generated or drafted documents from prepared drawings as required by the project
• Provides architectural drafting support on all phases of a project
• Understands and applies technical standards to drafting assignments

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Architectural license preferred
• Environmental accreditation preferred
• 10+ years of experience in small to mid-size architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels
• Proficiency in technical skills, including AutoCAD and Revit
• Knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, building codes, and detail documentation
• Sketching skills required
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with multiple deadlines
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with landscape and interior designers as well as MEP and Structural engineers
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills

As part of the role, you will help create engaging and impactful visuals for our website, blog posts, presentations, social media and more. You will also help develop and maintain Automata’s websites and user interfaces, so having a strong preference for meticulous attention to detail will be highly advantageous. Candidates for this position will go through a multi-phase interview process that may require demonstrations of skill through various assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• 2D/3D Visuals / KV’s: Conceptualize and develop visually compelling, on-brand illustrations and visuals to populate our blog posts, websites and other media;
• Media Design: Conceptualize, design, and animate assets as part of the marketing plan. This includes icons, social media graphics, GIFs, and infographics;
• Motion Graphics: Design and produce engaging motion graphics and edit high-quality videos that align with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Brand Identity: Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand identity across all owned channels;
• Product Development: Provide resources for landing pages and microsites while keeping in mind good practices of UX/UI & brand identity;
• Brand Management: Create and manage all brand collateral including logos, presentations and pitch decks for internal reference and external use;
• Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table;
• Feedback and Iteration: Accept feedback gracefully and iteratively refine designs to meet project requirements and end-result expectations;
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to support the Marketing and Developer team;

Requirements:

• Area Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience in media design, digital/web design or illustration role positions;
