DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading, mentoring, and developing an architectural team
• Create conceptual and schematic design and detail working drawings
• Create and oversee general design development and project direction
• Preparation of specifications and tender documentation
• Plan and supervise authority submission requirements and procedure for projects
• Coordinate with technical consultants
• Oversee project contract execution and on-site supervision

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)

• A recognized Degree in Architecture, preferably registered with the Board of Architects, Singapore
• Minimum 8 years of relevant architectural work experience and at least 5 years of architectural work in Design.
• Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings and construction practices
• Strong knowledge and understanding of project, material, and cost management.
• Proven knowledge in carpentry construction & technical detail drawings.
• Excellent in design presentation and human relation skill.
• Good team leader
• Conversant with local codes and regulations
• Autodesk, 3D modelling (SketchUp), and preferably BIM project implementation experience with in-depth knowledge of REVIT architecture
• Must have contract administration experience and able to Coordinate

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and contribute to the design, recommendation, and evaluation of AV system setups.
• Develop A/V designs, encompassing A/V control, video, audio, and networking schematics, as integral components of engineering design packages.
• Create Build of Materials (BOM) and A/V proposals.
• Organize and execute demonstrations of proposed solutions for customers.
• Participate in project meetings alongside customers and representatives.
• Coordinate design reviews and change processes in collaboration with Project Managers, the Sales team, and customers.
• Stay informed about the latest technologies in the AV industry.
• Generate connection-level drawings for audio, video, control, and communications systems.
• Conduct Site Surveys/Evaluations when required.
• Attend site coordination meetings as needed.
• Provide support for the turnover of completed installations to clients, including user acceptance and training.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience working in an AV industry as a System Designer.
• Knowledge and design experience with the following manufacturers: Crestron, Extron, AMX, Polycom, Biamp, Clearone, QSC, Cisco.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD program
• Relevant recognized industry certifications will be an added advantage (e.g. CTS)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good team player and able to work independently.
• Must be organized, able to multi-task, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Must be a detailed, patient and fast worker

Responsibilities

• Set up, prepare and model building development as planned /designed by Architect/QP, in BIM (Revit) – Architecture according to BCA BIM standards
• Competence in preparation of 2D and 3D AutoCad Drafting
• Draft submission Cover Letters addressing respective building authorities for various the project development stages
• Submission of drawings and documentations to all building authorities – URA, BCA, SCDF, LTA, NEA, PUB, NParks, etc to obtain respective Approvals /Clearances, including Amendments
• The above apply to all major stages of project development – DC, BP, Tender, Construction, and TOP/CSC.

Requirements

• Diploma in Architecture/ Architecture (Technology), or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Conversant in BIM (Revit) and AutoCAD platforms to perform drawing and design work.
• Experience in Corenet Submission requirements, procedures and standards for BIM (Revit) and AutoCad (2D) format.
• Experience in the use of BIM tools for design / tender / construction documentation.
• Knowledge in basic regulatory requirements (URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, NEA, LTA, NParks, etc), and Arch related Codes of Practice.
• Experience in annotations and descriptions for 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Skills in presentation applications like V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, etc will be advantage.
• Possesses good interpersonal skills for coordination and collaborative processes on multi-disciplinary basis
