- In charge of leading a sizable Operations/Logistics team to deliver comprehensive operations support and meet obligations to clients and stakeholders.
- Responsibilities include planning, optimizing manpower for all routes, and conducting ad hoc checks on service and product quality. Additionally, ensuring daily planning incorporates contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances.
- Responsible for driving process improvements, enhancing work efficiency, and implementing these changes effectively.
- Collaborating with other departments and engaging stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and job execution.
- Overseeing equipment and/or service procurement when necessary.
- Initiating continuous improvement and new initiatives to optimize manpower, inventory turns, and operational expenditure.
- Monitoring and reporting truck tonnage, asset utilization, customer service levels, and all aspects of operations and logistics costs.
- Supervising 3rd party vendors and monitoring their efficiency levels.
- Providing mentorship to new team members and ensuring proper on-the-job training.
- Handling issues related to routing, staff under-performance, and managing customer feedback.
- Directing operations to achieve cost, productivity, order fulfillment, and productivity objectives.
- Developing risk management programs to ensure task continuity during emergency situations.
Requirements:
- Possession of a diploma/degree in logistics, operational management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience managing a team of 100 or more staff in operations/logistics.
- Demonstrating excellent leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A team player with exceptional coordination and people skills.
