Context of the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be the key owner and manager of Tableau, our primary reporting tool. You will be leading the BI function, play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making within the organization, responsible for analyzing and presenting data to support strategic business decisions, optimize processes, and improve overall performance. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and provide BI solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the BI Strategy. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into data and reporting solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through data-driven insights and recommendations and to unearth opportunities that expedite development or enhance existing offerings.
- Manage and maintain the Tableau environment, including user access, security, and performance optimization; Conduct regular updates and system maintenance to ensure the tool's reliability and efficiency; Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues promptly.
- Data Analysis and Modeling: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by collaborating with data engineers; Design and implement data models within Tableau to support reporting and analytics requirements; Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insight to support decision-making; Perform ad-hoc analyses to answer specific business questions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as pricing, finance, product and tech, to align analytics efforts with organizational goals. Provide feedbacks from analytical perspective to contribute to new product development, platform enhancement and operational process optimization
- Enhance data driven culture: Conduct regular dashboard demo, analytical workshops and quarterly BI update sessions
- Steer ongoing analysis, prioritization, and scheduling of defect resolutions.
- Direct market research and business intelligence initiatives to gather customer, user, and market insights, fortified by SWOT analysis.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics etc). Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a BI/Data Analyst or analytics role, with at least 3 years experience.
- Strong expertise in Tableau administration and development. Proficient in Tableau tools(Tableau Desktop, Tableau Online or Tableau Server). Excellent data visualization skills within Tableau.
- Proficiency in SQL. Experience in other programming languages such as Python, R is preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and database design principles. Experience with data modeling and ETL processes is preferred

- Effective communication, collaboration and management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Able to display whole systems thinking and have an intuitive understanding of how enterprise business systems interconnect and data flows between them.
- Solid understanding of IT Systems capabilities and requirements.
