RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To establish a robust philanthropic approach aligned with the organization's vision and well-being mandate conduct thorough research and needs assessments in target communities, drawing from both quantitative data analysis and qualitative community input.
- Develop a multi-year strategic plan outlining clear goals, objectives, and KPIs, with a focus on addressing the unique needs of marginalized parents and children, and including a roadmap for expansion. Regularly refine this plan using data-driven insights, feedback, and changing community dynamics.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate philanthropic efforts with other organizational initiatives and provide routine reports to showcase the foundation's achievements, challenges, and future plans to senior management and stakeholders.
- Create a sustainable financial plan and resource mobilization strategy, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and efficient resource allocation.
- Diversify funding sources, including corporate sponsorships, donations, grants, and partnerships. Actively lead fundraising efforts with potential donors and partners, involving grant writing, donor engagement, and corporate partnerships.
- Develop a system for tracking and reporting financial performance, expenses, and investment outcomes for philanthropic initiatives.
- Proactively monitor and manage financial risks while addressing potential challenges or deviations from the financial plan.
- To maximize the foundation's impact, establish and cultivate multi-sector partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including social service organizations, government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, community leaders, and grassroots organizations.
- Act as the ambassador for the philanthropic foundation at conferences, panel discussions, and public speaking engagements that pertain to philanthropy, community development, and social impact, consistently working to increase awareness of its mission and accomplishments.
- Create an all-encompassing program management framework that covers every facet of the foundation's initiatives, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation.
- Establish a self-sustaining long-term business model for the projects within the foundation.
- Take the lead in designing and developing specific programs and projects that align with the foundation's strategic objectives and the specific requirements of underserved communities, particularly addressing the unique needs of parents and children, on areas such as education, skill development, healthcare, and socio-economic empowerment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record of at least 15 years in nonprofit leadership roles, with a focus on philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), community development, or social services.
- Demonstrated success in creating and implementing impactful philanthropic strategies, particularly in underserved communities in Singapore.
- Strong network within the non-profit sector, including relationships with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) - funded social service organizations, local businesses, and community leaders.
- Solid understanding of grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising techniques.
- Passion for community upliftment, social justice, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of marginalized individuals
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant Social Service, Social work, Counselling, Nonprofit Management qualifications highly preferred.
