Job Description
- Assisting to develop in-house expertise in global gasoline markets, especially the Asia market. Contribute to building trading architecture for the team.
- Understanding of customer needs, price mechanism/dynamics, and global balances.
- Assisting with both physical and paper positions, generating proprietary P&L based on market sentiment, and fundamental and technical research.
- Generate arbitrage ideas and create values in “sweet spots” of the market backend longer-dated price curves and implement profitable trading strategies.
- Identify and develop new potential trading opportunities.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with end-users, producers, and key players.
- Follow global market/pricing closely.
- Structure deals with the capability to price and manage risks, develop proposals, and negotiate final agreements with counterparties.
- Ensure that trading activity complies with risk governance policies and procedures.
- Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the immediate superior / Management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s trading experience on the market, preferably with previous experience with an Oil Major/NOC player with a track record of generating trading value.
- Extensive knowledge on gasoline markets, with a focus on the curve, with a demonstrable history of creating value.
- Established strong relationship with existing market participants.
- Previous experience or good knowledge in operations and shipping.
