About the role
You will be part of the Infrastructure Team responsible for managing CGS-CIMB on-premise and cloud platform (servers and storage) to ensure high standards of performance as well as security and availability.
Job Responsibilities
· Provide design, consultation, and advice on platform such as:
Ø VMWare (Vcentre/vSphere/vSAN/NSX)
Ø Windows & Linux Operating System
Ø EMC/Hitachi/Synology storage and SAN switch
Ø Intel Server
Ø VMware TANZU/Redhat Openshift container solution
· Involved in implementation of platform related project.
· Constantly exploring new technology to better support business.
· Provide platform operation support such as:
Ø Hardening and patching of hardware and software
Ø Processing of service and change request
Ø Handling of incidents and resolve any issues related to platform
Ø Performance tuning and operation automation
Ø Monitoring and capacity planning
· Management platform backup & disaster recovery.
· Management of platform related procurement & contracts.
· Automation of work process to enhance operation efficiency.
· Work on platform related budget and workplan.
· Management of platform related contract and vendor.
· Create and maintain up-to-date platform design and operation documentation.
· Work on any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the management.
Job Requirements
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration of VMWare, Windows, and Linux operating system.
· Experienced in Linux scripting and Windows Powershell to automate operational tasks.
· Experience in VMWare, Windows and Linux Installation, hardening, patching, monitoring and capacity planning.
· Knowledgeable in VMWare Windows and Linux performance optimization.
· Knowledgeable in hardware (servers, SAN switches, storage, etc.) implementation, and maintenance support.
· Basic understanding of TCP/IP network, DNS, LB, etc.
· Familiar with AWS Cloud and VMC operation.
· Experience in platform project management & implementation.
· Experience in vendor management.
· Ability to work in a team as well as work under pressure with minimum supervision.
· Good presentation and communication skills.
· Certification in AWS, VMWare, Microsoft Windows or RedHat Linux will be an advantage.
