Job Role
- The Planning Engineer is responsible for all functions relating to planning, scheduling, and reporting. He should maintain continuous communication, interaction, and coordination with the construction team including subcontractors.
- He shall assist Senior Planning Engineer and Manager to develop strategies, analyze procurement and installation schedules, monitor performance and that communications channels are open.
Job description
- Prepares Primavera P6, to monitor the progress and substantiate time and cost entitlements.
- Prepares contract programmes, including high-level summary programmes for presentation purposes.
- Monitors the progress of the construction programme and determines the delay events and their impacts.
- Assist with the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims, including presentations to clients.
- Prepares progress reports and progress audits, including S-Curves, progress trackers and programming health checks.
- Prepares recovery programmes and presentations summarising key recovery strategies.
- Prepares baseline schedule which includes resource loading and cost loading.
- Other ad-hoc duties by Management assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 year's experience in construction projects
- Hands-on experience with Primavera for (1-2 years’ experience)
- Good team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound understanding of work execution in relation to methodology, timeframes, productivity
