IT Manager

IT Manager :

1. Ensure day-to-day smooth running of the Company’s IT systems (hardware & software, Network, Server, Infrastructure).
2. Gather requirements from stakeholders, and lead Application project implementation which includes milestone planning, risk management and external vendor management.
3. Generate budget, reports detailing data usage, network security, upgrade proposals, hardware and software status.
4. Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively at an optimum level.
5. Configure and maintain office cloud systems, physical servers, and company software applications.
6. Manage user accounts in the active directory, including creating new users, mapping them to groups, and enhancing file server security.
7. Implementing effective cyber security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems
8. Manage external vendors including Telcos, ensuring SLA has been met.
9. Maintain prompt communication with HQ and timely reports to business stakeholders regarding project/troubleshooting case status.
10. Effective interaction with diverse business units is pivotal for this role, necessitating an understanding of various business segments and how IT impacts their operations.
11. Mature, meticulous, proactive and resourceful
12. Leadership ability to train junior IT staff.

Skills and experience required

As a successful applicant,

1. You should have at least 3-5 years of experience in managing a small IT department;
2. You should possess valid Industry-accepted IT Security Professional Certifications (such as CISSP, CISA or equivalent) and possess a comprehensive knowledge of International Standards and Best Practices for IT such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NSA Security Guidelines;
3. You should have experience in programming languages (C#, NodeJS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, JAVA)
4. Proficient with networking, Windows operating system, Linux, and iOS
5. Good cyber security concepts and associated duties include patching security vulnerabilities and incorporating security into the design.
6. Knowledge of server configuring and operating systems on cloud service providers i.e., Aliyun.
7. Familiar with web server technologies such as NGINX/APACHE/IIS.
8. Proficient in script development and automation (CI/CD tools/Shell/ Python/PowerShell)
9. Proficient in database administration and can write database scripts, queries, procedures, and triggers.
10. Candidates who are bilingual (English & Chinese) have an added advantage as communication with HQ requires Chinese language ability.
