IT Service Engineer

Uic Asian Computer Services Pte Ltd

Key Responsibilities: -


1. Perform day-to-day technical support including but not limited to the following: -

a) Reimaging, replacement, trouble-shooting of PC/Laptops/software

b) Attend to the End User inquiries on IT Technical connectivity matters

c) Carry out AD Administration incl. unlock account, reset password, etc

d) Handle escalation of hardware issues/cases to the Vendor such as HP, Dell, etc


2. Carry out teamwork of IT Engineer duties in MNC environment to provide IT Technical support to the End Users of the Organization professionally on each Incident Ticket response via: -

a) F2F for Walk-in End User

b) In-house on the End User desk

c) Remote Assistance

d) Tele-Con/Phone Assistance

e) Off-site (if applicable)


3. Technical support to roll out the IT project such as: -

a) OS Migration fm WIN7 to WIN10

b) Hardware migrating involving iPad, Blackberry and other IT peripherals

c) Tech Refresh new software installation

d) Ad-hoc duties to support infra/network project implementation such as global Protect VPN Testing, CypherGuard Upgrade, LAN/Wireless connectivity and future hybrid cloud platform


4. Participate in the Business Continuity Management (BCM) exercise, Information Security Management System (ISMS) Audit, Annual IT Asset Inventory Audit, IT Assets Scrapping Exercise, etc


5. Handle IT assets inventory administration, loan of IT equipment/devices and IT technical support on setting up Video conference/presentation


6. Support the System Engineer and/or Network Engineer in the Global project as and when being assigned by the onsite IT Dept. Head/Manager


7. Contribute to support the process improvement initiatives incl. ad-hoc duties to ensure overall efficient running Helpdesk Centre


Requirement: -

· Min. Higher NITEC/Diploma in Information Technology or its equivalent

· At least 1-year exposures in desktop support environment

· Excellent Customer Service ethic

· Strong sense of punctuality and urgency

· Passionate to attend the Computer Users’ request

· Demonstrate teamwork and collaborative approach

· Good interpersonal and problem solving skills
