Job Description:
- Ensure effective safety, security and controls performance of the 3PL on the warehouse operations that meets the global standard
- Provide oversight and stewardship in all aspects of warehouse operations; Goods receiving, issuing, storage, and other basic warehouse functions
- Ensure 3PL are trained and operate consistent with established procedures, controls, Procurement Warehouse Manual and Supply Chain Handbook (SCHB)
- Ensure administrative activities are completed by 3PL: Billing activities, Metrics stewardship and reporting, stock replenishment approvals, goods/services approvals, controls reports, etc.
- Communicate regularly with the Business Unit Supervisors / Management to assess warehouse performance and develop action plans to continually improve on performance to meet clients’ objectives
- Liaise with site management to ensure business line objectives / priorities are aligned with warehouse operation work effort
- Manage Supplier relationships with all warehouse materials/operations suppliers
- Maintain close collaboration with 3PL to identify improvement opportunities and/or potential in expanding service offering to business lines
- Lead and coordinate any SC initiatives, obtaining 3PL’s support where required (e.g.annual inventory count or new project implementation)
- Supervises warehouse activities. Maintains records and schedules.
- Secures warehouse and supervises warehouse staff.
- Leads and directs the work of others.
- Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining workers.
- Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews, resolving problems, and identifying warehouse system improvements.
- Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
- Manages Warehouse First and Second Line Supervisors to efficiently deliver safe, reliable and profitable operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma in relevant Discipline.
- 10 Years relevant experience.
- Management/ supervision of resources, safety management, attention to detail, extensive prior warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- 1 Year Contract role.
