Specific Responsibilities:
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial reporting of Singapore Reinsurance Corporation Ltd are running smoothly, including but not restricting to the following activities:
- Responsible for performing IFRS 17 quarterly group reporting and annual statutory reporting and reconciliation work;
- Develop in-depth understanding of financial results and support the analysis of the company’s financial performance and identify any anomalies, generating meaningful commentaries to provide actionable insights to management;
- Support and ensure timely submission of quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory reports and tax reporting;
- Active collaboration with management and both internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulatory authorities;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives of processes and automation projects;
- Any other ad-hoc assignments and projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and/or relevant professional qualifications
- 4-5 years’ relevant work experience in the (re)insurance industry
- Sound technical competencies of IFRS and of insurance accounting principles
- Strong knowledge and experience in reporting under ACRA, MAS and IRAS regulatory reporting experience in a (re)insurance company in Singapore would be advantageous
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Experience working with GL systems is desirable
