Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and optimise the Company’s treasury policy, maintain the rationality, applicability, effectiveness and execution of the policy, promote the implementation of treasury policy to achieve institutionalisation, streamlining and standardisation;
  • Responsible for raising funds for the company's trade business, investment business and daily operations, ensuring reasonably the supply of funds, reducing fund costs and improving cash efficiency;
  • Deploy the complementary functions of two cash pools, responsible for the operation and management of the two cash pools, realising the centralised management of funds of the Company and its subsidiary company, supervising and managing the cash operation;
  • Responsible for the management of the bank accounts of the Company and its subsidiary company , including the approval and supervision of the opening, modification, cancellation and use of bank accounts to ensure the safety of funds;
  • Responsible for managing bank facility line to support company's trading business, strive to expand the credit line and relax credit utilised conditions to support the operation of the business;
  • Maintain bank relationships, including bank annual review, facility letter negotiation, update the latest granted facility line and utilisation condition;
  • Handle L/C documentation and negotiation for oil products trading. Submit documents as required in LC , e.g. to issue invoice, letter of indemnity, bill of exchange & drafts;
  • Responsible for managing FX business, including reviewing related bank FX agreements;
  • Review cash planning and forecasting with a view to using the most optimal source of funds to meet the business needs while maintaining adequate cash reserve at all times;
  • Oversee and guidance to subsidiaries on working capital requirements as well as business expansion and financial matters;
  • Responsible for centralised management of external credit rating, internal and external bank facilities and financing guarantee of the company and its subsidiaries;
  • Responsible for organising and executing the company's share repurchase;
  • Monitor margin in the derivatives clearing account on a daily basis, including timely margin call and withdrawal, to ensure that there is sufficient balance to support the hedging business;
  • Promptly reconcile P&L between SAP and ETRM system (CXL) for oil product trading books monthly;
  • Assist in financial month end closing;
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Finance/ CFO.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Finance/ Accounting/ related field or equivalent, preferably qualified ACCA/ ISCA ;
  • Min. 5 years relevant working experience in financial accounting, management and control, cash management preferably in commodities trading companies;
  • Familiar with cash pooling operation and management;
  • Familiar with banking facility and accounts managements;
  • Knowledge of commodity financing procedure and management is preferred;
  • Hands-on and execution-focused attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Willing to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and to adapt to situations as they arise;
  • Excellent people skills and communication skills;
  • Strong attention to details and effective analytical skills with ability to understand complex information and apply logical reasoning and assessment;
  • Good ethics and professional conduct, and with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
  • Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese languages (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking stakeholders verbally/ in writing as well as to prepare and proof-read English/Chinese official documents and presentations whenever appropriate).
