A Guest Services Officer - Fitness Club is responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while promoting the facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.


What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Officer - Fitness Club, you are responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Guest Services Officer - Fitness Club will also be required to schedule adequate staff coverage. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Knowledgeable about the products and services offered in the Fitness Centre and Spa
  • Manage all financial transactions (credit cards and cash) and general administration at the reception
  • Handle issuance of towels and locker keys and minimize loss of items
  • Handle sales of health and retail items offered at the reception
  • Solicit feedback from guests to share with Fitness Club Manager
  • Ensure that Fitness Centre Members and Guests receive efficient, friendly, consistent, and personalized service
  • Ensure the safety of Team Member, Fitness Centre Members and Guests at all times
  • Ensure cleanliness of the Fitness Club, changing rooms and pool area (including deck chairs, cabanas and umbrellas)
  • Coordinate with the Pool Bar team to provide assistance on agreed level of service at the pool (including the serving of ice water and cold towels on arrival)
  • Ensure that the pool is maintained to the highest standards, which requires the engagement of external vendors to provide specialized equipment and expertise in pool cleaning

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience in fitness industry
  • Experience in personal training
  • Knowledge of diet and nutrition
