Responsibilities
- Ability to independently manage claims of all classes of insurance in a timely manner and ensure prompt claims settlement.
- Review claims, identify liabilities and proximate causes of losses and work closely with brokers, loss adjusters, insurers, and internal stakeholders to seek effective resolutions in claims.
- Provide advisory, guidance and support to internal stakeholders on all claims-related matters, including large, complex and litigation claims.
- Identify loss trends/frequency and severity of losses and recommend appropriate and/or corrective actions in loss avoidance and loss mitigation.
- Tracking of claims regularly, efficient claims management and ensure accuracy in claims data.
- Provide claims reports to the management periodically or as and when required.
- Identify issues in policy wordings and contracts and recommend improvements in contract and wording clarity.
- Undertake site visits and meetings with loss adjusters, insurers, brokers, and other interested parties, as required.
- Strategize and streamline claims protocols and procedures for the Group.
- Work closely with the internal digital and project teams to implement and run UAT on the internal claims system.
- Support any ad hoc project or task on claims enhancements and UAT as required.
Requirements
- Degree-holder with any relevant insurance qualifications.
- Demonstrate strong technical competencies in handling Property and Liability claims with preferably 8 years of experience in the insurance claims industry.
- Experience in establishing liabilities and handling litigation and/or large complex claims.
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills in loss assessment and claims analytics.
- Meticulous, self-starter and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player and able to work independently with the right aptitude.
