Job Description
Forecasting demand and demand generation
- Build and consolidate demand forecast from departments heads.
- Where applicable, using time series historical data, customer pipeline data, and apply statistical methods to predict adequate inventory level to meet customers future needs.
- Collaborate with sales team to apply leading indicators of future demand coming from seasonality, marketing activity and promotional activity to demand forecast.
- Review and challenge forecast inputs from department heads based on historical trends and seasonality and probability of deal.
Supply Chain Coordination
- Collaborate and communicate with the various sales channel lead, commercial and production department to ensure the demand is met with supply.
- Manage and control contracts validity based on ability to fulfil contracts.
Risk Management
- Anticipate inventory write-off from demand shock, coordinate with sales planning lead on strategy to reduce write-off.
Process Management and Improvement
- Defining and tracking key performance indicators related to demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Refine the forecasting methodology and adjust models to improve forecast accuracy.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred in a production, forecasting, or planning role with a particular emphasis on replenishment, inventory planning, analysis, and modelling.
- Degree in Business Management, Data Science, Supply Chain or equivilent.
- Knowledge of various aspects of Supply Chain – Inventory, procurement, lead times, production with deep understanding on replenishment and forecasting experience in the consumer goods industry with overseas sourcing and/or long lead-time products
- Possesses the personality and capability to effectively collaborate and communicate expectation across multiple departments.
- Preference given for individuals with prior experience with Demand Planning Software.
