Objective Summary
- Perform daily financial controlling activities including payments processing, journal entry posting, cost allocations & account reconciliations
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting for Head Office, local statutory and MAS regulatory reporting as well as corporate tax.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring financial reporting adheres to bank's accounting policies and procedures, and compliance with local statutory requirements.
- Assisting with the statutory audit and corporate tax reporting process
- Assisting Head of Financial Control Singapore to manage and ensure efficiency in Finance Control department in Singapore
- MAS regulatory monitoring and reporting
- Quarterly GST reporting, assist with Head Office reporting and statutory reporting
- Ensure expenses are duly approved, accurately charged and allocated to the correct cost centre.
- Input check and validate entries, ensure that entries are appropriately booked in the correct accounts.
- Nostro Reconciliation
- Prepayments, provisions, accruals & fixed assets
- Assets / Liabilities Account Reconciliation
- Intercompany confirmation and reconciliation, Tax schedules
- Providing inputs and value add in reviewing of system processes and accounting of transactions
Requirements
- Qualified accountant or a CPA.
- At least 8-10 years of accounting experience in a bank in Singapore.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Knowledgeable in accounting, regulatory reporting and tax (including GST) regulations in Singapore
- VBA knowledge and advanced excel skills would be ideal
