Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of staff to ensure smooth running of the full spectrum of financial accounting for a portfolio of entities.
- Manage all aspects of finance including financial reporting, management reporting, regulatory reporting, audit, tax compliance, cashflow management.
- Ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with relevant accounting standards, internal policies and statutory/ regulatory/tax requirements.
- Develop Finance’s policies and practices and review the department’s processes periodically to identify areas of improvements. Ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place.
- Plan, coordinate and prepare cost forecasts, annual budget.
- Business Partnering with key stakeholders in driving growth for the business and providing guidance on all finance related matters.
- Key lead in system enhancement and any other system implementations.
- Support any ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience (at least 2 years in a managerial position), with some years working in Big 4 CPA firms. Experience in real estate (retail and hotel) industry preferred.
- Candidates with more years of relevant experience may be considered for the Senior Manager position.
- In-depth knowledge and application of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and its related technical areas.
- Ability to understand and analyse financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to details and a good team player.
- Strong planning, project management and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organised and able to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Comfortable in presenting to senior management.
