Finance Manager

SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Management Reporting

· Facilitate monthly business performance reporting.

· Present financial reports to senior management.

· Oversee preparation of quarterly, half-yearly and annual statutory accounts.

Financial Controls and System Review

· Review standard operating procedures relating to fixed and current assets, including assessment of asset obsolescence.

· Review monthly reconciliation schedules relating to bank balances, payables, inter-company balances etc.

· Oversee treasury activities, forex transactions, short term loans and borrowings.

· Ensure satisfactory internal controls and follow up on audit recommendations in a timely manner.

Budget Preparation

· Oversee financial budget preparation for operating units.

Cost Management

· Monitor cost controls and assess cost reduction opportunities through regular review sessions with management.

· Evaluate and set the right cost benchmarks so as to ensure appropriate pricing.

GST and Corporate Tax

· Ensure tax compliance.

Project Studies

· Participate in project feasibility studies.

· Furnish financial reports to assist management in project evaluation.

Special Assignments and Projects

· Responsible for training and development and raise the standard of competency skills and knowledge of local finance team.

· Undertake special assignments and projects as directed by the Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

· BS / MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

· ACCA/CPA certified or with any other professional certifications.

· At least 8-10 years of proven experience as a Financial Manager from MNC environment

· Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

· Proficient user of SAP software

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel

· An analytical mind

· Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

· Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships

· Commercial and business acumen

· A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data

· Ability to stick to time constraints

· Strong leadership, team player and independent
