Salary Range: $3000-$4500 (depends on experience)
Working location: Woodlands
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm)
- Alternate Saturdays (8.30am – 3pm)
- Potential night works 11pm - 6am (for electrical shut downs) – compensated by offs
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to support end-to-end project management, from tender estimation, project scoping, sub-contractor selection, drawing submissions, on-site project execution, to testing & commissioning and project handover
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials and subcontractor services as per project plan
- Supervise and ensure ongoing works on-site are on track according to project schedule
- Prepare M&E Combined Service Drawings (CSD) to facilitate effective site coordination with all project stakeholders
- Prepare Power Interruption Plan (PIP) for project-related shutdown activities, including effective communication of PIP to all project stakeholders
- Preparing project progress reports for director, consultants and clients
- Attend site surveys, coordination meetings with consultants, sub-contractors and any relevant authorities
- Prepare payment claims and variation orders for project contracts
- Prepare quotations based on site surveys and tender documents
- Provide emergency response for fault tracing and troubleshooting as and when required at client sites
- Ensure adherence to and enforce Bizsafe work safety methods, RA, MOS, procedures and policies regarding all site activities
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical (preferred) Engineering or Diploma with work experience
- Candidates with prior working experience in the construction industry will have a strong advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Basic knowledge in Microsoft Project and CAD will be useful
- Strong knowledge in 3 phase 4 wire electrical distribution system, electrical single line diagram, cable sizing, protection circuit, protection discrimination and setting
- Basic understanding of ACMV system operation, including key equipment such as chillers, CWP, CHWP, CT, valves, AHU, PLC system
- Good knowledge of relevant industry codes of practice and standards (especially SS638 / CP5) and site installation procedures, with familiarity in M&E work methods and sequence
