Responsibility
- Managing inventory and ensuring compliance with food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Helping kitchen staff with food preparation.
- Reviewing kitchen inventory and estimating what foods are needed.
- Overseeing the activities of the kitchen staff and monitoring food production and presentation in the absence of the head chef.
- Assisting the head chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu development, inventory and purchasing of supplies, and cost control.
- Ensuring that health and hygiene standards are met.
- Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation of dishes according to recipes.
- Assisting in the training of new kitchen staff.
