Position: Field Application Engineer (18598)
Summary:
1. Identify market and potential customers.
2. Propose solutions/provide technical support to customers.
3. Follow-up on customer’s project/ assist in issues reported by customers.
4. Liaise with HQ and regional partners for design support.
Job Responsibilities
• Work with Sales team to identify Market Segments/customers.
• Visit customers to understand project requirements and propose suitable solutions to meet customer’s needs.
• Conduct technical discussion/trainings to customers when needed.
• Support’s customer design team on hardware, software and help in debugging.
• Act as the communication bridge between Vendor and Customer in solving the technical issues (if any).
• Provides insights and gaps from the field for future product planning and implementation.
• Liaise with regional Sales offices and HQ.
• Able to travel when required (35%) to visit customers and for onsite support.
• Manage distributors technical support/FAE members to overcome customer issues and project follow ups.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree Electronics/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years’ experience in FAE/technical support management in Electronics/Semiconductor industry, experience in Semiconductor Industry or working with semiconductors is added advantage.
• Experiences in customer project design-in (understanding of customer design flow) and follow up on issues (from self-managing minor problems to co-working with HQ for large scale problems) are added advantages.
• Proficient in hardware and programming in C language.
• Experience in Embedded Design is an advantage.
• Must be self-driven and take initiative to drive the business from technical perspectives.
