Our client is local food manufacturing company in FMCG Sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their Development Team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area – easily accessible.
Duties of Quality Assurance Manager:
- Define departmental quality objectives in alignment with top management's objectives and the company's strategic direction.
- Supervise inspections for incoming, in-process, and outgoing products.
- Contribute to root-cause analyses of customer complaints, providing quality assessments and proposing solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Preserve the integrity of the laboratory by upholding quality standards, including the calibration of all measuring and testing equipment, and evaluating vendors or partners.
- Conduct audits and assessments of quality for all suppliers of raw and packaging materials.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food quality and safety to meet requirements such as SFA, Halal, ISO 22000, and BRC.
- Recommend systematic measures and initiatives to enhance product quality.
- Lead the development of new food product recipes, involving the production and QA teams in planning, trials, documentation of SOPs, and successful product launches.
- Manage the research and development of existing and new product concepts and recipes for the company.
- Supervise a team of Food Technologists in the R&D, QA, and QC Department, directing departmental goals and plans approved by the Managing Director.
- Collaborate with various departments, customers, suppliers, and government regulatory bodies to prioritize quality within the company.
- Prepare a Monthly Quality Report for submission to the Managing Director, including updates on KPIs, performance, GMP, internal and external audit information, and more.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science & Technology
- At least 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing
- Proficient with food related regulations such as ISO 22000:2018, BRC issue 8 and HALAL certifications
