Dulwich College (Singapore) is recruiting a PERFORMING ARTS ASSISTANT to support the Performing Arts Department in managing resources, preparing for performances, examinations, trips and festivals in order to facilitate excellent enrichment opportunities for all students.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with the organisation of performances, theatre trips and festivals across the college in dance, drama, and film.
  • Maintain and update the Performing Arts budget.
  • Organise audience ticketing for Performing Arts Events through Eventbrite.
  • Assist with displays of student work on displays and in programmes.
  • Supporting the creation of marketing materials for the department.
  • Administration tasks linked to rehearsals, performances and CCAs.
  • Filming and editing practical performance work for assessment for IB and I/GCSE Film, Dance and Drama and the setting up of these spaces.
  • Maintain and organise all film equipment.
  • Organisation of all performing arts spaces for curriculum lessons.
  • Liaising with AV Manager, Learning Beyond the Classroom department, Finance and Marketing teams for all Performing Arts Events.
  • Communicate with suppliers and the College’s Purchasing Manager regarding the sourcing and ordering of supplies and resources.
  • Liase with external vendors and artists for enrichment.
  • Organise the storing of resources, materials and equipment, costume and stationary rooms and ensure these spaces and resources are kept tidy and ordered.
  • Liaise with the Director of Performing Arts and Performing Arts Teachers to understand requirements and plan so that resources are prepared and ready.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum qualifications of GCE ‘O’ Levels; Diploma or certificate would be desirable.
  • A minimum of one year’s work experience, ideally gained in an administrative or customer-facing role.
  • Experience of working in a performing arts environment would be desirable.
  • Experience of using computer systems with basic video editing, basic graphic design, basic photography/ videography skills would be desirable.
  • Experience of working with children in a school setting and relate well to students.
  • The ability to follow procedures and guidelines with excellent customer care skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively throughout the College.
  • A flexible approach to work, and the willingness to contribute to the team with good initiative to undertake required tasks.
