This business analyst role is to support the implementation of Command, Control and Communication (C3) System.
Role and Responsibilities
Years of Experience
At least 8 years’ of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems and at least 5 year as business analyst
Roles and Responsibilities
• Conduct user requirement analysis for the development / implementation of new systems and for enhancements to existing systems
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify the data sources require for the dashboards / indicators
• Interpret data and verify the data structure
• Obtain and confirm the Budgetary Quotations from the source systems and vendors
• Review and critique vendors’ design and solution efforts and recommend effective and cost-saving solutions
• Ensure that the interface specifications meet the Synapxe data governance, guidelines and policies
• Monitor the data deliverables and ensure timely availability of data for Development, UAT and production
• Plan and coordinate end-user training for any system implementations or enhancements
• Assist to manage vendors to achieve Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements and help with reviews of contractual Terms & Conditions
• Assist Manager / Senior Manager to formulate application implementation strategies
• Identify data and business gaps within organization’s information systems by analyzing existing systems and workflows.
• Support positive project-vendor relationships and resolve conflicts
• Support the team in defining project requirements, tracking and documentation
• Manage and track project risk and issues
• For each project, support the following tasks:
✓ Develop an application Project Charter and Project Schedule
✓ Develop a risk assessment and mitigation plan
✓ Work closely with other source systems to assess the impact and dependencies
✓ Review project progress and the meeting of project milestones
✓ Review Plan and conduct / co-ordinate the data UAT by working with the end-users
✓ Ensure acceptance of the system by the users
✓ Ensure audit conformance throughout the project life cycle
✓ Prepare post implementation review
Requirements / Qualifications
• At least 8 years’ experience in IT Projects
• Must have involved in at least two full SDLC cycles
• Strong Analytics skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze the data
• Solid understanding in Business Analyst
• Familiar with MS SQL Server
• Prior work on experience on ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a logical and orderly manner with root cause analysis
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to without the box
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in vendor management / project management
• Solid understanding and hands on experience in all phases of project lifecycle
• Experience in budgeting (costing, cost evaluation analysis etc.)
• Experience in various procurement methodology e.g. RFQ, RFP etc.
• Experience in writing approval papers
• Being a creative problem-solver, make choices and take responsibility for their own actions
• Ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders
• Having good communication skills (written and spoken)
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
